I never said boxing is better. I said when someone is in close and all you know how to do is kick, your gonna get mollywhopped.
I personally like muay thai out of all martial arts that i have participated in.

  • What are you ...

What are you talking about? Taekwondo is a difficult and complex art. The video does not respect to how fast or hard-hitting those kicks are.

And to the guy who thinks boxing is better...my leg is a full 2 feet longer than any man's arm. With Taekwondo training it doesn't matter what happens when you get in close because you never do.

How do they get away with calling that martial arts? The moves are technically difficult sure, but... jeez... about as practical as solving algebra by chewing bubble gum.

I didn't see any dodging, i just saw reckless attacking with the feet.
I love TKD it was my first martial art but after sparring with boxers i learned that once someone is in close, your kicks are worth S**t .

  • These moves are ...

These moves are fairly harder then they look.
They dont use punches because a punch must do as much noise or damage as a kick over the protective gear. And this is nearly impossible.

  • because the scoring ...

because the scoring in wtf tournaments is if they hear a pop when your opponent kicks you but you still blocked they may still count it as a point. lets say you block a kick but for the judge whos at the angle of your back it may look like you got hit. so therefore why block when you can dodge instead.

  • hand strikes are ...

hand strikes are legal but the referees don't look at hands so they use their feets. Don't ask me why. And you are aloud to stand like that indeed.

Are hand strikes illegal in Olympic TKD? And are you required to kick with your hands at you sides and not protect your self?

  • Also, the heaviness ...

Also, the heaviness point of women is lower, so it's harder for them to perform spinning kicks. Just watch them do spinning roundhouse kicks and dwit's, their technique is usually not as good as men's.

  • Thats not really ...

Thats not really true. If it were it would be prevalent in all the other sports because the same rule applies there as would in this. That point would only apply if there was a women who constantly fought with men but couldn't knock them out so she would focus on technique. That isn't the case, women fight against women and therefore any given female figher shouldnt have no trouble using a power game to knock out another female. Also technique varies from person to person.

  • I have heard from ...

I have heard from multiple trainers that women are usually better at technique and setting up shots than men. This is because men rely more on their power to get the job done, but women usually don't have nearly as much power so they're forced hone their technique to make up for it.
