This song is about my friend Owlsey Stanley. "Bear" as he is called was a chemist and the sound guy for the Grateful Dead. He made the best LSD around and was involve in the electric cool aid acid test with Ken Kesey. Keysey's bus "Further" is the "Technicolor motor-home" mentioned in the song. Now listen again and understand.

I,ll be posting a few lessons on the solos in this piece in january. splitting them up and giving an in depth that will benefit new guitarists and advanced . so why not checkitout and judge me on that. you,ll be surprised!I learnt this piece when I was 14 ,and could play it excellently then.

butterfly. Ive studied under professors in composition. and passed out in 1978 .I learnt more about composition from steely dan than most professors could teach me any way.listen to mozart . or get a score or two.and study it.its up to you in the end, other people can only teach you so much!

I tell you what you should be a professor at a liberal arts college, you are so darn smart about music.
