it's a combat sport (or just straight combat moves), the WILL be used on humans.

You extend at the point of impact on the second elbow, if you extend to soon you can hyperextend your elbow, which isn't fun.

My technique of preference is to follw this up, or incase the second elbow missed, with a back leg sweep. if they back up to dodge the second elbow, they are already moving back, just start a small push into them, and sweep their back leg(or leg opposite your kicking leg) with a stong kick to their Achilles tendon. If the elbow doesn't end it, the ground control does.
