Gabriela Sabatini had the best topspin backhand in womens tennis-much better than Graf's. Don't waste our time by telling us she didn't have any weapons. You don't win 27 friggin' singles titles, 2 year end championships, and a slam by not having weapons. Yeah, your right Jordan, 27 titles, 2championships, a slam, and Hall of Fame = Shitty Career!. Goddamn, every player WOULD LOVE to have a shitty career like that!!. I know I would!!. And so would you Jordan!!.

Gaby was such a stylish player. I loved the little tweak at the top of her follow-through on the backhand side!

The biggest underachiever in womens' tennis history was Anna Kournikova, not Gabriela Sabatini. Kournikova was the real waste of talent, didn't win one goddamn singles event. Sabatini won 27 singles titles, Kournikova won 0. You do the freaken math, and tell me who the worst underachiever was?. Sabatini may have won just 1 slam, but how many did Mary Joe Fernandez, Novotna, and Kournikova win combined?. That's right, just 1. As for Sabatini's awesome looks, more power to her!. What a babe!.

Sabatini was the reason I got hooked with tennis. I miss her and her contemporaries...

I disagree Sabatini was a good player certainly NOT a great player. She was a one slam wonder that failed to reach her potential. Sabatini is lazy it doesn't make sense that such a big strong woman has such a garbage serve. Her serve is all wrong falling backwards her service position is technically incorrect. She got no velocity on the ball and had to work hard to win matches. It is the reason Seles and Graf were superior they had weapons and big serves Sabatini had no weapons.

Sabatini was not lazy... I worked with her former coach Patricio apey, and he always says that Gaby was really a hard working player and that she was a fast learner as well.

She was number 3 in the world and won a grand slam how many players of the thousands that are trying to make it can get to that level???
I think she was a great player.

Sabatini was good but not mentally strong like Monica, Steffi, or Arantxa. Sabatini was the worst underachiever in women's tennis history. Sabatini made a lot of money off of her looks but she only won one grand slam. Such a waste of talent. Sabatini was so lazy she refused to learn how to serve.

gaby retired at 26...its too premature. she was so good, her deep backhand is legendary. I've been a tennis fan for 14 years now and I can still remember those first few weeks that I'm learning tennis, it was ms. sabatini who's always on the TV. I miss this girl.
