  • this is very ...

this is very inspiring to watch and listen, thoughts of water gliding over rocks comes to mind when listening to this, plus a duo combination of mallet percussion is a double treat.

  • So, after watching ...

So, after watching this video a million times I decided to make an arrangement of Carousel for the UMass Marimba Band II, and I'm using your interpretations as a major key factor. I also want to transcribe your opening solo, but I'm not that good yet. Basically, thank you so much for creating this wonderful music.

    Nice performance!
PLaying an E instead of F on the marimba around 2:25 sounds strange though, cos it's a Db major chord. Was this done on purpose?

  • I played this with ...

I played this with a colleague of mine at UMass at the same time as you, but I just have to say that that sounded absolutely amazing. Everything flowed beautifully, and it was hard to find the parts that I remember being extremely hard. Congrats to both of you, job very well done. Certainly one of my favorite pieces, pretty much ever, and I think I may make this my new favorite recording of it. Thank you.

Yeah. I just came out and improvised for awhile, since it was for my Senior Recital. The improvisation is just based on the four chords that make up the main theme of the piece. Thanks for your kind words!
