Dog Birth of 5 Cute Puppies - Part 1

This video is Part 1 which shows a closeup view of the birth a dog to a pregnant dog. She is in shown in labor just before delivery of "Green" -the newborns wear a colored yarn collar to identify them. A blue suction is used to help clear the airway. A drop of iodine is used to prevent infections. The puppies each weighed about 1/4 lb at birth while the expectant mother's weight was about 7 lbs before getting pregnant. They are blind at birth. Just for the record, these puppies were born on January 19th 2005. All of them are doing great and have wonderful homes. The mother is great and never rejected any of the puppies and was a wonderful mom. She only had this litter. For the birth I read 3 books and consulted with my sister who is a vet. Please enjoy the videos. The puppies have all been given away to good homes. The birth is similar to major dog breeds such as Labrador Retriever German Shepherd Yorkshire Terrier Boxer Golden Retriever Rotweiler Doberman Pinscher Bulldog and Pug.
