Formula 1...V8 Supercars...MOTO GP...Superbikes. Anything which has loads of overtaking, a handful of crashes and over the top commentary (eg the nuts who commentate the Superbike racing) As I said though, Drifting just isnt my cup of fish (as it were) but as I also stated its not without its flamboyance.

Why the continual comparison to NASCAR?? I have already agreed that the Yank form of racing is tedious but ideally suited to the average simple American. Also we are in agreement over your comments stating that Drifting requires more skill than NASCAR. Can't argue with that. I just want to state once and for all that I do not watch or even like NASCAR. My Motor Sport interests lie elsewhere. Enjoy the Drifting. It is flamboyant and not entirely without it's charms.

who would want to watch cars race in and oval track and go round and round and round??? Drifting is really hard cos u need the technique and the fullest concentration to execute a drift....because it is so hard that it is so exciting watching people drift their cars....

what? drifting does require skill. i would like to see most of you people saying crap on here go out there and beat one of the people in this video. they would beat every one of you. in nascar they go around in circles, woah, that is a lot of fun( sarcasm )

this drifting is not like drifting a MR car, but this is very hard, you know Tiff from Fifth Gear, he is also having trouble with those cars, and this cars arent stupid, 600HP from a 3.0litre engine is not bad (but it does haves lots of turbo lag)

drifting is for people that don't have any skills hu?.....then in nascar what skills do you need?....just keep the steering wheel straight and do long curves that anyone can do..?..!..drifting you need technique and you also need to know how to control your car in sharp turns..in drifting you need more skills than in nascar.

Okay fair enuff...I have seen it done but just couldn't get into it. Guess it's just not my thing as I like a clean, fast, perfectly executed lap. No doubting that them Drift chaps certainly have flair. You're right, if it's fun and making people happy that's all that matters. Enjoy.

I couldn't agree more...Nascar, much like Drag Racing and Drifting is completely pointless. Nascar however is perfectly suited those simple folk called Americans. What I cannot agree on though is the belief that Drifting requires any sort of special skills. It is done by people who don't have the skills to compete in real motor sport and watched by people who think that the Nissan Skyline is a cool car (yawn) and that the X Box is a good way to spend ones time.

An art!!! Okay now I thin you're getting very carried away. Watching a skilled driver (and you wont find any driving stupid drift cars!) getting around the Nurburgring for example and setting inch perfect consistantly fast lap times is art. For one to consider drifting an art one would have to consume dangerous amounts of alcohol.

I want an S14 so freakin bad!! Or any of those...

i totally agree with itphysics, drifting is more of a challenge. nascar is for nubs, nascar is boring and their is no action to it.
