when a person gets any kind of virus it spreads rapidly. hiv seems to go against science in that regard. it just doesn't make sense at all. that window period theory defies logic. but people are willing to believe things without question when they are frightened. please pray for all those hwo have been misdiagnosed with hiv and AIDS. they really need it right now.

well reguardless, say tomorrow you contract hiv or hep c it wont show up for around 6 months...just wanted to let you know...it doesn't show up right away...

YBA, good answer, although not quite correct. when a virus of any kind enters the human body it replicates so fast that it would have to be detected within a few days. they all replicate very quickly. window period theory does not pan out for viruses. the real reason for disclaimers is probably because the test only tests for proteins and not viral particles, and the same ones that determine pregnancy are included on the hiv test. check it out.

Hmmm. Because it can take up to six months for the person's body to detect the body's reaction to the virus....so depending on when the last time the person practiced risky behavior, their body might not show proof of infection during testing.
