  • The central theme ...

The central theme and message in Rumi's poems is the smelting of human into the creator by unconditional love - what results in the reunion of human and divine - leading to the consequence that every being is from divine origin, what mankind has forgotten. Being aware of the entity of creator and creation the man, which understood himself as an separated individual begins to awake feeling that the creator has taken place in the human. So the man becomes to the center of his own wheel of life.

This really is a beautiful ...thanks for the upload :) Mavlana Jalaluddin Balkhi Rumi(September 30, 1207--December 17, 1273)was born in Balkh (then a city of Greater Khorasan in Persia, now part of Afghanistan) and died in Konya (in present-day Turkey). His birthplace and native language/local dialogue indicates a Persian heritage.

  • Rumi was and is ...

Rumi was and is popular for his universal love and tolerance thats ture, but his mysticl teachings based on 3 important things ; 1.the Koran 2. the Greek philosophie 3. wisdoms of India.
Of course there are lots of passages, were he negate religious differences, but his particular relationship to Islam and Allah is the important one.We don't understand Rumi, if we negate this particularty, that make his uniqueness.

Nor am I confined to Creation, nor the Throne Celestial

Not of ancient promises, nor of future prophecy
Not of hellish anguish, nor of paradisic ecstasy
Neither the progeny of Adam, nor Eve
Nor of the world of heavenly make-believe

    My place is the no-place
    My image is without face
Neither of body nor the soul
I am of the Divine Whole.

I am neither an earthly carpet,
    nor gems terrestrial

    WHATTTTTTT ????
Your statement shows, that you don't know Maulana, he was and is one of the biggest islam sufis ever. Every poem of him tells something about his relationship to god (Allah). His name Maulana is a islamic title and meens = our master.

goran00 : OOH you ignorant people piss me off, as you know my afghan brother, Afghanistan was part of Persia, so he born in balkh(Persia) he traveled a lot and he died in current turkey, but that time turkey didn't exist, from his poems I understand he didn't belong to any place or any religion, so please instead of fighting over where he was from understand his great poems. And if you read his poems you understand he was from eternity and went to eternity.
