Kadayawan 2008: Magallanes Elem. School

the dancers are good and energetic but the dance it self is so basic....i cant see any winning routine on it....sayang ha
but nice xa naman overall
minimize lang pang kopya ng concept
parang some of it are from buyogan festival, sinulkog festival and bonok-bonok festival...
basta kung di lang dahil siguro sa mga bata talo tong dance troupe nato
continue to produce nice and good dancers davao

Dance-theatre magallanes.. dance theatre please. That's your expertise and we love you for that. Street-dancing form sucks! I mean- you are trying to call certain dances as ethnic and depicting tribes but the movements being performed onstage is actually modernized. Where is the value of promoting cultural distinctions. There is a need to educate choreographers regarding cultural ethics. Because what we are seeing on the streets even in kadayawan were actually bastardized movements of tribes.

Government hardly invests in activity such as this... the effect is intangible and will not draw out votes, so to speak.

It is very ideal to gather other choreographers but it's too impossible. Very impossible... their egos are towering and they wod kill for their idea. (hehehe)

I love to watch magallanes in their dance-theatre suites. They were able to perform outside the country because of that form that only few are doing. Come to think of it.

you can't possibly mix up choreographers specially if each of them have established award-winning groups.. just be happy that in one way or another, ang magallanes naga try to explore .. sa aliwan, gicomment man gud na theatrical ra daw kaayo sila, mao siguro nagtry sila ug mass dance moves.. pero admit it to yourself, HAWOD jud ang magallanes!

...if magallanes will be the representative again and again in ALIWAN, i doubt you will make it on TOP if you will always stay with those choreographers who think for their self only with greed intent. As well as, if without full support from our City... what do you think???

...but sad to know, no one in government of davao give their support.What I'm trying to emphasize is that, why not this government will give their full support; why not all the Best choreographers in Davao city will collaborate to formulate an awesome presentation to compete for any fiestval in the Phils., wHY NOT?...

speaking about ALIWAN, does this government of davao gave concern and support to the group who joined in ALIWAN? or their support is only for magallanes?. just correct me if I'm wrong bcoz i was once given by a chance in organizing a competent group to represent our Fiestval of Davao in Aliwan...
