Ghost of Tsushima (/ˈtsuʃiˌmɑ) is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. Featuring an open world for players to explore, it revolves around Jin Sakai, one of the last samurai on Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 1270s. The game is scheduled for release in Q2/Q3 2020. Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure stealth game. Played from a third-person perspective, it features a large open world without any waypoints and can be explored without guidance. Players can travel to different parts of the game's world quickly by riding a horse. An item that acts as a grappling hook will be available to access areas that are difficult to reach. The game will feature side quests. Other characters can be interacted with. Players can engage in direct confrontation with enemies using weapons such as a katana. They can also chain up a series of fatal assaults after highlighting the enemies. Alternatively, using stealth allows one to evade enemies and strike them silently. One-versus-one dueling with non-playable characters is also optional. Set on Tsushima Island in 1274, the game revolves around one of the last samurai, Jin Sakai (Daisuke Tsuji), during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The Mongol empire has conquered and devastated many countries. Tsushima is the final obstacle between the mainland of Japan and a huge Mongol invasion fleet. The island was devastated by the first wave of the Mongol invasion. The island's samurai forces fought against overwhelming odds and were defeated. Jin Sakai is one of the few survivors of his clan. His world is shattered and he faces a difficult decision to continue fighting the way he was trained or use unconventional means. He is resolved to do whatever it takes to liberate Tsushima. Jin will have to master a new fighting style, the way of the Ghost, to defeat the Mongol Empire and fight for freedom of Japan

Free Guy is an upcoming 2020 American science fiction action comedy film directed by Shawn Levy, a story by Matt Lieberman, and a screenplay by Lieberman and Zak Penn. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi. In the open world video game Free City, an amalgamation of Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite, Guy (Reynolds) is a non-player character (NPC) working as a bank teller. Thanks to a code developed by programmers Milly (Comer) and Keys (Keery) inserted into Free City by the publisher Antoine (Waititi), Guy becomes aware of his world being a video game, and takes steps to make himself the hero, creating a race against time to save the game before the developers can shut it down. Free Guy had been in development at 20th Century Fox prior to its acquisition by Disney, and is one of the first Fox films to continue production under Disney ownership, as well as under the studio's new name 20th Century Studios. Ryan Reynolds, who produced the film along with Shawn Levy, said "I haven’t been this fully immersed and engaged in something since Deadpool". The film started principal photography in Boston in May 2019, including around the city's Financial District. Filming also took place in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts and Framingham, Massachusetts, in the former Framingham Bank building. On October 3, 2019, 20th Century Fox released a "Meet the Cast" promotional video, in which Reynolds and Waititi claim they are pleased to have the opportunity to work together for the first time, despite Comer and Keery pointing out that they worked together previously on the critically panned film Green Lantern Free Guy is scheduled to be released on July 3, 2020 by 20th Century Studios.

Spotlight On: DMC - SUNDAY 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Room:408AB Who’s House?! Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC and Darryl Makes Comics sits down with us and tells us what he has coming up next! HOLLIS QUEENS, N.Y. – Hip hop pioneer and icon Darryl "DMC" McDaniels announced that he is bringing his love for comics full circle with the creation of his very own independent publishing house, Darryl Makes Comics working alongside his partner and Editor-In-Chief Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez and Senior Editor Riggs Morales. "When Run came to me the first time and said 'Yo, we're putting you in the group,' I was a nervous little nerdy kid," DMC said. "I didn't want to get up in front of y'all and rhyme but then what gave me confidence, out there on stage was pretending that I was the Hulk on the microphone." DMC grew up reading comics and developed a passion for them. In his first graphic novel, it's 1985 in New York City and graffiti covers subway cars as b-boys break and spin in playgrounds and on street corners. Drugs and crime rule the streets. The city's brand new guardian angels wear spandex and capes, wielding their gadgets and their superpowers to "clean up" the City for the benefit of a select few. The rest whisper a different name: DMC, who dons his tracksuit and Adidas sneakers to defend the city's marginalized citizens against super villain and super-hero alike. Darryl Makes Comics is an independent comic book imprint created by Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, collaborator and Editor-in-Chief Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, and music executive Riggs Morales. Darryl Makes Comics is dedicated to the idea that every walk of life has heroes and stories worth telling. "Hip hop was always based on creativity," DMC says, "So what we're trying to do with this comic book is not trying to create anything that's new; we're just going to show the world what's already there… the beauty and the creativity of it."

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 2020 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game franchise published by Sega. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler in his feature directorial debut and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. It stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, as well as James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Neal McDonough. In the film, Sonic teams up with local town sheriff Tom Wachowski to find and reclaim his lost rings and escape Dr. Robotnik. Development of a Sonic film began in the 1990s but did not enter production. In 2013, Sony Pictures acquired the film rights, and the film entered development in collaboration with Sega Sammy's Japan studio Marza Animation Planet. Fowler was hired to direct in 2016. After Sony put the project in turnaround, Paramount Pictures acquired it in 2017, and the majority of the cast had signed on by August 2018. Filming took place in September and October 2018 in Ladysmith and Parksville in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. The film was due for November 2019, but was delayed to redesign Sonic following negative reaction to the first trailer. Sonic the Hedgehog premiered at the Paramount Theatre on January 25, 2020, and was theatrically released in the United States on February 14, 2020. Critics praised the performances, Sonic's design, and its faithfulness to the source material, but criticized its plot and perceived lack of originality. The film has grossed $204 million worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing film of 2020, and set the record for the biggest opening weekend by a video game-based film in the US and Canada.

BELOW is a procedural terrarium filled with life, mystery and death. Test your adventurer mettle against The Isle’s subterranean labyrinths. Explore a large, interconnected underworld crawling with cunning wildlife, and deadly traps, all while being stalked by a shadowy presence. Survive the perils of The Depths and unearth what lies below... or die trying. Below is an action-adventure game viewed from a top-down perspective with roguelike elements. The player-character is a "tiny warrior exploring the depths of a remote island". The game is about exploration, though that goal is contingent upon the character's survival. Microsoft's Phil Spencer described the game at E3 2013 as a "creative take on roguelike gameplay" in a "mysterious world".[1] The environments are randomly generated. The game is designed to be difficult, with "brutal but fair combat" and permanent death. The all-new EXPLORE Mode features changes to survival, death and damage, tuned to be accessible for players who seek more of an action-adventure style of play, as they delve into the depths and unravel the mysteries of the dark world of BELOW. EXPLORE Mode invites players to lose themselves on The Isle without suffering the exquisite pain of BELOWs original design. Those looking for a more challenging survival experience will find it in the original game mode, now called SURVIVE. “EXPLORE mode is our way of answering everyone who played BELOW at launch and found the challenge a bit too steep.” said Kris Piotrowski of Capy. “It was clear that many players were intrigued by the game's haunting underworld and rich atmosphere, but its difficulty made the game inaccessible to some. We hope to see new players to get into BELOW, and for seasoned players to revisit The Isle and enjoy the game in a whole new way.”
