The mission of the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School is to provide the participants with a sound Orthodox Christian education, to serve those in need, and to heal the historic divisions of the church through inter-Orthodox and inter-religious cooperation.

Our school has been teaching and preaching the gospel of our Lord, under the leadership and guidance of the thrice-blessed Pope Shenouda III, of blessed memory. Our desire here is to prepare future leaders of the Coptic Orthodox Church with the best possible education in Orthodox that encompasses prayerful and patristic understanding of the Holy Scriptures,

Welcome to St. Athanasius & St Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School, we are very excited you are here. St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School traces its origins to the world’s first Catechetical School. both faculty and students – study together.

Students who are withdrawn from the school because they failed to return from a leave of absence, or failed to notify the school of a withdraw or leave, may re-enter by completing. After two years but no longer than eight years from the withdrawal date, the student may apply for reinstatement by submitting a Readmission Application which includes the personal statement, and official transcripts.

ACTS offers various levels of education to meet each student where they are in the learning process. These certificate programs are a personalized, non-degree program that provides training for a specific church service or personal and theological enrichment.

By the dawn of the third century AD, the first of its kind, flourished in Alexandria. The School, originally established by Saint Mark the Apostle, strived to introduce catechumens to the tenets of the Christian faith, to plumb the depth of the Holy Scriptures and to articulate the mysteries of salvation.

Our study of theology, as St. Gregory the Theologian warned centuries ago, but one deeply rooted in prayer and worship of the Holy Trinity. Now, our school is one of the largest Coptic Orthodox theological schools, to invest your time and energy towards the pursuit of knowing Him, loving Him, and abiding in Him.

In its day, the School of Alexandria equipped individuals to live as devout Christians, be it to serve as theologians or martyrs.
