This video shows a product tanker sailing in the middle of Pacific ocean. Some seabirds are following the ship several days. I was allways wondering how a bird can survive in the middle of an ocean! :D
That evening we sailed across the Red sea and suddenly we had black-out (ship's engines stopped). I went out to the deck to check whats going on and saw this brilliant sunset. I mixed this footage with a music, but for Metacafe I had to mute the music because of copyrights.
I experienced this storm (Beaufort scale 10), when I started my sea career as a deck cadet. I was only 14 days onboard. This was like an examination for me, but luckily I didn't suffer from sea-sickness.
PS: I am the producer of this video.
With this video I will start a series of videos, I've filmed during my seafarer career.
This particular footage is taken in Indian ocean. You can see a flying fish which is an ussual occurence in open waters.
I saw this egret walking on the lifeboat when we were sailing in Atlantic ocean.
This cactus blom opened in 2 hours, but I speeded it up to 10 seconds
Video taken while sailing in Atlantic ocean.
I took this video when we were sailing across the Atlantic ocean last autumn. We came across this storm that had a force power 10 by Beaufort scale (waves up to 14m high). For reference, the ship is a 40'000 DWT tanker, 180m in lenght, 5m freeboard height. Luckily I'm not working on a small fishing boat! ;))
I shoot this video in Pacific ocean when we sailed to Korea and encountered with very rough sea. The weather was actually very calm - no wind and the sun was shining. Funny, isn't it?
For reference, the 170m long ship was fully loaded and had a freebord height of only 4m. Therefore the waves were flushing on the deck so often. Enjoy it! Watch also my channel for other ammazing maritime videos ;)
This amazing timelapse video shows a chemical tanker transiting the Panama Canal in 75 seconds.
