Not every computer lives on a desk in a study so Microsoft has released the Arc Keyboard. It's small, wireless, has a stylish curved shape and a glossy black finish that looks great when clean but picks up fingermarks easily. The wireless dongle is one of the smallest we have seen. To stop it from getting lost it is magnetic and snaps into place in a small recess on the underside of the keyboard. Read the full review at *******www****puteractive******/2258600

The Viewty (its proper name is KU990), combines phone, camera and portable music player, but takes it one step further as it can edit photos. The software, which is extremely easy to use, is especially handy for cropping people who've accidentally made their way into pictures from the phone's 5-megapixel camera. We particularly liked the Muvee application, which makes slideshows of photos and sets them to music stored on the phone.Read the full review at www****puteractive******/2208065

The Dyson Air Multiplier is a fan, but it’s not a fan. Where the blades would be on a standard desk fan, is just a hole. The point of it, says Dyson, is that removing the blades means less of what it calls ‘buffeting’ which is the effect you feel of all the turbulent air flowing over your skin.

In a world were media player phones seem to be getting ever bigger, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz landed on my desk like a breath of fresh air. It’s small enough to comfortably fit in the palm of your hand but still manages to include a 3.2in touchscreen. The cost of this is that there are just three buttons at the bottom of the phone for starting and ending calls and entering the menu. The on-screen keyboard works well enough, although it’s best used with the phone held in landscape orientation rather than portrait as this lets you use a Qwerty layout. The T-Mobile Pulse smartphone runs the Google Android operating system and is similar in size to the iPhone. It has a clear and bright screen. The glossy black finish shows up a lot of finger marks so you will want to keep it in the supplied pouch. Unlike the iPhone there are several buttons on the front.
