I am the webmaster for Old Branson Pentecostal church, (http://www.oldbransonpentacostal.com). We are an old-time, scripture teaching, family friendly congregation consisting of farmers, ranchers, office workers, retired folks and show people from the various Branson theaters.
The converst in the bible were all baptized in Jesus name. Not one were ever baptized in the titles of God, father (John 5:43), son (Matthew 1:21) or Holy Spirit (John 14:26).
Both repentance and baptism are for the remission of sins. For (Eis) always is towards and never in the past according to scholars for centuries. Consider that Jesus died for the remission of our sins. Did He die because they were forgiven or in order to be forgiven. Any honest person knows the answer is in order.
