Website: *******MrEnergyCzar**** Hi everybody, MrEnergyCzar here. This video is about the XL Keystone Pipeline. Facebook: *******www.facebook****/MrEnergyCzar.PeakOil Twitter: ********Twitter****/MrEnergyCzar In a moment, we'll hear what others are saying about the pipeline. First, my take on it. First, let me address the environmental part, there's some environmental protesting going on, well understood. Obviously, it's a huge environmental footprint to produce that tar oil, it has low net energy, everyone agrees on that. Ok, that's one issue. The main reason the pipeline will be built is we need to be good neighbors to Canada, who are oil exporters. They need a way to sell their dirty tar oil into the world market at higher prices. Right now they're losing their shirts because they are selling it for about $65-$70 a barrel but it costs $85-$90 a barrel to make it. This leads to another misconception regarding the pipeline, that building the pipeline will somehow make us energy independent or lower gas prices. Actually, the opposite is what would happen. If the tar sand oil is selling for $65-$70 now, and we provide the bridge to get that pipeline and oil down to the gulf of mexico, they are going to sell it at the world price of oil which is $90, $95, $100, $110 a barrel. Another thing people don't realize is that, up in the mid-west, where you also have the Bakken and the Tar Sand oil being used by the refiners up there, they're getting that oil at a discount from the Bakken and the Tar Sands so the price of gasoline in the mid-west would especially rise. Now, granted, a few thousand jobs will be created over a number of years, I do not believe that tens of thousands of jobs will be created to build and maintain a pipeline. Nevertheless, there would be a net gain in jobs. Now there is an alternative for Canada, which the people of Canada do not want, and that is to build a pipeline westward to the west coast of Canada through the pristine areas there where there's environmental concerns. It is easier to build a pipeline, and put the environmental risk on the United States. Lastly, as far as protesting burning the Tar Oil, that's a losing battle. Until the economies of the world decide to move to a steady state no growth world, its not going to happen. China and India, as an example, will be building 500 coal powered plants, which will be dirty, all in the name of growth. There are a lot of vested interests dependent on the continued growth. The environment, will as always, be a byproduct or bear the brunt of the costs in order to continue that growth. It's unfortunate, but that's the reality that we live in until the system changes. Website: *******MrEnergyCzar**** Hi everybody, MrEnergyCzar here. This is my electric weed trimmer video. Facebook: *******www.facebook****/MrEnergyCzar.PeakOil Twitter: ********Twitter****/MrEnergyCzar Now a little background. A few years back, while I started preparing for Peak Oil, I gave away my lawnmower and my gas powered weed trimmer. It was one of the best things I ever did. I don't have to buy gas and oil and tune-ups and all this crazy stuff. To cut the grass I use the reel-type mower as I had in one of my other videos. For trimming weeds, this electric powered trimmer is great. Each of these chargers here lasts about 8-10 minutes. Very easy to do. It's quieter, not as powerful as a gas trimmer from my experience. You basically just charge it on one of these chargers. This is a fast charger, it takes about an hour. It's very basic. Let's see how this thing cuts. Simple on off, it is quieter than a gas powered, no emissions. Cutting up sticks and bushes, it's not going to do obviously. Website: *******MrEnergyCzar**** Hi everybody, MrEnergyCzar here. This video is about an emergency back-up multi-purpose communications radio. Facebook: *******www.facebook****/MrEnergyCzar.PeakOil Twitter: ********Twitter****/MrEnergyCzar Communications is very important to have in emergency situations. You want to know what's going on in your immediate area and further away. What I like about this is it has a multi-weather band, am fm radio and a couple of TV bands. It even has a siren to scare the zombies away as they get close. A light and flashing light. Also, what's good and very practical, is in the back here you can connect a cell phone charging device. It comes with various adapters here depending on your phone. Its pretty straight forward, you can wind up charge your cell phone. If you wind it up for a minute or two you are going to get good use out of your phone, maybe a half hour. Great thing to have, I highly recommend it. Toyota's Huntsville plant is partnering with Alabama A&M University to explore possible applications of biofuel. We've created a closed-loop system by sending waste oil from our cafeteria to the university, and getting back biodiesel for use in on-site trucks. In January 1985, Chesapeake & Ohio engine no. 614 has been fired up for a project involving the usage of coal technology. Ross Rowland, 614's owner incorporates the American Coal Enterprises to explore the possibilities of offering the railroads a alternative fuel-running locomotive in the wake of the 1970's oil crisis. The project is given the name; "ACE 3000" where the 614 is renumbered to '614-T' signified as a test locomotive which is to be computer-controlled unlike any other. However the oil prices drop have dropped in the end, thus the project is now called-off, leaving a unforgettable event of a true coal-burning steam locomotive hauling real freight since the early years of railroading. Watch as '614-T' performs a series of coal drags between Hinton and Huntington, West Virginia in the most grueling cold weather at mid winter. Footage background (c) Sunday River Productions

Portable generators are backup devices designed to provide temporary AC power for non-hardwired, stand-alone applications. These generators consist of internal combustion engine, starter, alternator, fuel tank and outlets which are assembled together onto a metal frame in a single unit. Low-end models of portable generators support few basic home appliances, whereas, the high-end models can provide power backup to the whole house.
