This is an official AT&T iPhone 4 unlocking method in that the phone is permanently unlock in Apple’s central database, in other words AT&T iPhone 4 status is set as UNLOCKED on Apple's server. You will be able to test this by simply plugging in your AT&T iPhone 4 into iTunes and you will receive the message below. This Official unlock is also known as factory or IMEI unlocking and is usually only provided directly by the network carrier the AT&T iPhone 4 is locked to. BUT carriers will refuse to unlock iPhone's unless strict unlocking criteria are met. The unlocks we provide are permanent, work with any AT&T iPhone 4 model, operating system (iOS) and baseband version, and once unlocked, enable an AT&T iPhone 4 to be used with any GSM network carrier, anywhere in the world.

AT&T announced yesterday that they're selling $50 netbooks (test markets only for now) with an internet broadband plan from them (which is the catch). The Moxie Mo tells you all about the pricing and details of this great program. The netbooks are Dell Mini's but you can buy a more powerful netbook through AT&T if you wish. Yahoo launched a brand new Twitter app called Sideline. It's made with Adobe Air which allows for beautiful applications on PC or Mac's desktop. Sideline isn't your typical Twitter app though. It monitors the public timeline and assesses trends day-to-day on Twitter. It could definitely have more options, but it is in beta and it's a free download here. Finally, iPhone 3.0 testers announced today that it is possible to send VIDEO via MMS in iPhone 3.0! Hoorah! The Moxie Mo is ecstatic about this - he tells you why. As always, you can build the coolest and moxiest websites in the world by using Squarespace. And when you use my promo code (SquareSpace coupon) MOXIE you will save 12% off the LIFETIME of your subscription (that's better than any other podcasting networks' offer, ps!). Everyone's doing SquareSpace so why aren't you?

BY KELSEY WAANANEN ANCHOR JENNY MECKLES You're watching multisource tech video news analysis from Newsy. AT&T is putting shackles on the customers who have jailbroken their iPhones. They’ve caught onto customers who are sharing their iPhone’s mobile Internet connection-- or tethering-- without paying for AT&T’s tethering plan. The email jail-breaking AT&T users got ominously says, “We’ve noticed your service plan may need updating” and then details how-- if tethering does not stop-- AT&T will automatically upgrade the customer to its tethering plan, which adds $20 each month on top of their data charges. If the tethering ends, no changes will occur. ZDNet notes-- this comes as a surprise for many users who thought AT&T was in the dark. “... the carrier is making it crystal clear to customers that it can tell who is using the unauthorized tethering. Users have long felt that the carrier cannot tell when they are using such tethering, but AT&T begs to differ.” And Read Write Web wonders-- how should we take this news? “Is this an unjust restriction on the use of data we’ve already paid for? Is it a logical move to keep the whole of the network sustainable at a time of heavy demand? Is it, in a way, good news to know ... you’ll still be allowed to use tethering if you just pay a small monthly fee?” Switched says AT&T is in the right, despite popular sentiment otherwise. “It’s something AT&T has every right to do, but is thought to be rather a [rude] move by users who feel they should be able to use their plans as they please.” But GigaOM says-- many customers will be taking this news hard. “I understand AT&T wanting to protect its network and its bottom line by cracking down on bandwidth hogs, but it’ll be interesting to see whether this hardline approach ultimately does more to harm customer goodwill than it does to hinder unapproved usage.” And The Unofficial Apple Weblog notes AT&T might just be using scare tactics. “ ... I’d imagine AT&T isn’t interested in catching every last person doing this. It’d be sufficient to catch enough people to generate a PR hullabaloo. The fear of punitive charges would effectively discourage everyone else.” Follow Newsy on Twitter Newsy_Videos for more daily updates. Get more multisource tech video news analysis from Newsy. BY TRACY PFEIFFER ANCHOR BLAKE HANSON Despite lukewarm analyst responses to Apple’s unveiling of the iPhone 4S, the not-iPhone-5 device is reportedly set to destroy previous sales records. Here’s KPNX. “AT&T says the latest Apple iPhone is a big success. The telecommunications giant said that it received more than 200,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 4S within the first 12 hours, making it the most successful iPhone launch the company has ever had.” Apple’s current iPhone sales record is held by the original iPhone 4, which sold 1.7 million devices sold in just three days. And media can’t seem to find enough ways to explain the demand for the 4S. As HalfPeeled Apple reports... “Last year, Apple saw 600,000 iPhone 4 pre-orders in the first day for all carriers in the US, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK. This year, you have three [U.S.] carriers to choose from, so the pre-orders and sales are probably around or over 600,000 by now.” Reports say Apple, Verizon and Sprint haven’t released their online pre-order numbers, but some of the models list a delivery date after the slated October 14th release. Basically, analysts suggest that means they, too, have sold out. (Video: Apple) CNNMoney reports besides adding carriers, Apple has also beefed up its international offerings. Last year, pre-orders were available in just five countries, but... “This year it added Australia and Canada to the mix. Six of those countries had run out of iPhones for pre-order by 6:55 a.m. ... Friday. The U.S. ran out 12 hours later. ...Two weeks after the Oct. 14 launch, the iPhone 4S will go on sale in 22 more countries... Last year it was more than a month after the June 24 launch before Apple expanded the iPhone 4 rollout, and then to only 18 more countries.” All this, after some tech issues in the ordering process, according to CNET. “Despite the promise of a 12:01 a.m. ... starting time for preorder sales from Apple and its carrier partners, Apple's store experienced intermittent errors shortly after that deadline.... AT&T took even longer to begin offering preorders, and some would-be Sprint customers reported delays of two hours trying to place their preorders.” Stick with Newsy for all your Apple news-- and don’t forget to make sure you’re using the latest version of our award-winning app on your mobile device!
