Ogoh-Ogoh, Destroying Egoistic Hindus in all over Indonesia, in March has celebrated the Hindu New Year or the Year of Saka who started in 78 AD. Monday (3/16/2010) at Moutong Parigi, Central Sulawesi, a procession of early Nyepi holiday too crowded. Hundreds of Hindus paraded ogoh-ogoh before the Nyepi day Celebration. Parigi Moutong is one area of settlement of transmigrants from Bali in Central Sulawesi. Procession of hundreds of Hindus is not a scene in Denpasar or in an area in Bali. This is the view of Hindu procession in Parigi Moutong Bali, Central Sulawesi, which was paraded ogoh-ogoh. Ogoh-ogoh is the embodiment Buta Kala paraded around neighborhoods and then burned. Buta Kala is the embodiment of evil forces to be removed from our surroundings. Ogoh-ogoh parade usually held before the Nyepi Day. Previously, also preceded by a holy ceremony named Melasti. There are a variety of ogoh-ogoh carried by hundreds of Balinese Hindus. There is a form of nuisance birds in the rice paddies, relict villains until Ravana. I Made Suakarta, local community leaders say that it is ogoh-ogoh embodiment of evil forces which must be removed.***
