Mega Man Battle & Chase review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Mega Man Battle & Chase for PlayStation, emulated in Mega Man X Collection for GameCube. Battle, because Mega Man is a SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT. Chase, because he's in a go-kart for whatever reason. Mario gets a racing game, Sonic gets a racing game, hell, Diddy Kong gets a racing game (which was turned into a collectathon travesty), so it's time for Mega Man to have a racing game. This is why you don't let programmers do things I don't like. Sure, it might've been cool to code Sonic into Fighting Vipers, but then to think that it'd be a good idea to make an inaccurate, super-cartoony, button-mashy fighter for the arcades? Anything to make 50 yen or so, I guess. Or a quarter. Or any of a number of European currencies, since this predates the Euro by a good sight. It's... well, the soundtrack's pretty spiffy. The fighting, character models, translation, et cetera? Just leave it to Dr. Robotonic. Robo-tonic. Gin.
