BATTLEFRONT WHAT'S THAT THEN?
Battlefront is a Channel 4 project that is all about campaigning. We have a friendly army of 20 young campaigners. We've got causes instead of cannons and big ideas instead of bombs, and we're out to change the world. The troops are ready for inspection; give them the once over at http://www.battlefront.co.uk/campaigns

Alexander Rose is the 1st official Battlefront campaigner.
He wants to raise awareness amongst young people to STOP carrying weapons. Friends and family members have died due to this issue.
"I decided I just had to do something. I turned to what I knew at the time, which was graphic design, and came up with a t-shirt design and a campaign called Solve This Ongoing Problem (STOP)"

Aimee is the 2nd official campaigner unveiled by Battlefront.
She wants to produce a new range of environmentally-friendly re-usable cups so that less cardboard and plastic cups are wasted.
"The UK generates over 3 million tons of plastic waste each year. Too many people take the idea that the damage we are doing to the world will not affect us. This is wrong, and we are swiftly destroying our planet and need to seriously change our ways"
Shes campaigning to get coffee chains to buy the cups to sell in their stores and lower the prices of drinks for people who bring their own mugs.
"It does come down to individuals and once one person does it, five people do it. I want to show that, despite the press perception of teenagers, we do care and want to make a positive difference to the world"

On Wednesday October 22nd 2008, Aimee and 50 of her friends, including Jodie Marsh, went to a starbucks in London with their own mugs. Aimee is running a campaign to make people realise how easy it is to bring your own mug with you when you get a coffee.
"Few people are aware of the 25p incentive Starbucks offer for those who bring their own mugs with them. It is the only incentive offered by any coffee chain, and needs to be more widely advertised as very few people are aware of such a scheme."
