Britpop Project VO.X' 2010 Music Video SET TO 1080p or 720p FOR BEST AUDIO AND VIDEO QUALITY. Copyright © Giovanni Maccelli & Aram Rian. Words and music by Aram Rian. Director - Giovanni Maccelli (Italy-Spain). Animation Script: Susana López. Production: Carlota Coronado y Giovanni Maccelli. Remember the story of the Fisherman and the Goldfish? Now, imagine a formula where seeing a cherished dream come true would be identical to catching a gold fish. Wishing and dreaming. And sparing no effort to achieve set goals and to see big dreams and wishes fulfilled. Isn't it what we all do? Life is a pursuit of gold fish. But what if we kept catching ordinary ones instead?.. Would that label us "unlucky"? Or perhaps our ordinary is just as good as someone else's gold? That's up to you to decide whether to view such a scenario as pessimistic or optimistic. Personally, I consider it realistic. The actual music video is a result of some serious international collaboration: Italy, Spain, Armenia... An epic ballad from Aram Rian's upcoming solo album "Carlyle Road" plus stunning, top-notch, stop-motion animation from a multiple award-winning Italian director Giovanni Maccelli. The crew of professionals involved: Director - Giovanni Maccelli, script - Susana López, production - Carlota Coronado, art director - Beatriz Martínez, puppet creation - Manuel Rubio Nájera, photography - Giovanni Maccelli, animation - Elena del Moral, music video production - Aram Rian, Albert Poghosyan. Enjoy and share! ===================== OFF THE BEATEN PATH ©2008 Aram Rian, BMI What if I said my life was on the skids Though I'd taken all the lids Off my fortune's jars? And if I cried, would you believe my tears? Would you wait for a thousand years, If I hit local bars? It's been a waste of space and time. The page is blank, there's no bottom-line. Off the beaten path, Far and vague, Dreams have a laugh Avoiding me like a plague, While my plans are at stake. What was the point of floating on a cloud? I still can't figure out Why I've been so naíve. How could the truth I searched for relocate So swiftly from that heaven's gate Right into this pint of beer? It's been a waste of space and time. The page is blank, there's no bottom-line. Off the beaten path, Far and vague, Dreams have a laugh Avoiding me like a plague, While my plans are at stake. And it's too late for me to change. I can but seek revenge Over my dreams, Over my dreams.

Off the Beaten Path Canadian Destinations - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Off the Beaten Path Canadian Destinations Canada is a very large country and there are many large cities to explore and places off the beaten path within the cities, but I'm going to take you outside the cities. My favorite place off the beaten path in Canada is without doubt, the North shore of Lake Superior. The north shore of Superior is full of legends and stories as well as natural beauty. A great place to hike and a great place to relax. Another place I love is the Bay of Fundy, which is part of Nova Scotia as well as New Brunswick. If you circumnavigate the Bay of Fundy, which you can because there's a ferry between Digby and St. John - you have fine food, you can go whale watching, you can walk on the floor of the ocean and you can ride the tidal bore which is wilder than rafting, white water rafting. So it's a very fun place. Another place in the East, is Gros Moor National Park in Newfoundland. This is a forgotten area of Canada that just too many people do not get to, but it's beauty rivals the Rockies it's stunningly gorgeous, and while in Newfoundland if you can, hop over to Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and you're going to France by taking a ferry. It's just a short little ferry. Going to the west coast, Tofino is just a wonderful place, wonderful beaches in Tofino. It's not quite off the beaten path because it's been discovered a little bit more but it's definitely worth the trip. And then one very long path that everyone should take at least once is a drive across the Prairies. The Prairies are beautiful in their own way, they're known as big sky country and it's just gorgeous. Really it should be explored and enjoyed.

Off the Beaten Path European Destinations - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Off the Beaten Path European Destinations Traveling off the beaten path has different meanings for different people. For me it means going places where not everyone thinks of going. For example, everyone thinks of going to Paris, but not everyone thinks of Arles in the South of France. They may think, Oh I want to go to Provence, but not Arles, and Arles is one of my favorite places in the South of France. Likewise for Spain, people think Madrid and Barcelona. But just south of Madrid is the city of Toledo, a fabulous medieval city set in the land of the Man of Lamancha and it's just a wonderful place to go so I really recommend that. These places I have found by having only vague itineraries, and that's how I think is the best way of finding your place off the beaten path. Have a vague itinerary and I'll give you an example. I did a tour around Lake Léman which is Lake Geneva. So traveling and during circumnavigating Lake Geneva you are in Geneva, of course, the city which is a fabulous city but you also go into many small towns and you have discoveries. I discovered a fabulous winery for example in the south end of Switzerland, who would have thought? Also, the home, the last home and also the resting place of Charlie Chaplin. And the place where Smoke on the Water was written. So that iconic tune was written on Lake Léman You would have not found that if you had not gone off the beaten path and just had this vague itinerary, oh I'm going to circumnavigate Lake Geneva. It's by having that kind of vague plan that some of the most magical things happen.

BY JONATHAN KETZ You're watching multisource global video news analysis from Newsy. The most well known cartoonist in the country is currently ‘bloodied’ and recovering in a hospital. This---after Syrian forces reportedly beat him up. Amateur video shows people huddling around the cartoonist after the beating. Ferzat appears to be dazed and confused in this video. Euronews reports on the incident. “Human rights activists say that the prominent cartoonist and Assad critic Ali Ferzat has been beaten up in Damascus by armed men and then dumped in the street. He was taken to the hospital suffering bruises to his face and hands.” Ali Ferzat recently came out with drawings poking fun at President Bashar al-Assad -- and some analysts are suggesting his work -- could be directly related to the incident. Al Jazeera takes a look at some of the drawings. “Here’s president Assad hitching a ride with Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi trying to get away in a get away car.” So was this a ballsy move or was Ferzat ‘poking at the bear?’ That would be nothing new for Ferzat. The cartoonist is known for characterizing leaders like Sadaam Husein and Moammar Gaddafi. Here’s a look at Ferzat’s other drawings. “In this cartoon, he pokes fun at the government’s offers of dialogue that continues with the crackdown of Bashar al-Assad’s there offering a cup of tee to a man...while he’s being beaten. And here a member of the security forces has crossed out the word ‘democracy’ and replacing instead with the word ‘bloodocracy.’” One questions that remains---where was President Assad during all of this? State television showed images of Assad the same day reports surfaced. Fox News has the latest on the president. “Syrian TV showed President Bashar Assad hosting a meal toward Islamic leaders and blamed the morals of Syrian society for for the country’s crisis.” Masked forces reportedly grabbed Ferzat off the streets and took him into a van. Sources say forces targeted Ferzat’s hands---so that he won’t be able to draw anymore. Assad is not believed to have commented on the issue. I’m Jonathan Ketz for Newsy. Multiple sources. The real story. Transcript by Newsy.

Beaten paths have always existed in Indian villages from history. Not all of them will take you to where you want to go. Some will go nowhere. Others end abruptly out of middle. But beaten paths have existed from times immemorial. Most of such beaten paths help villages travel to other villages or reach out to their farms. As people walk more on them, they become flat and hard. Finally, they're as good as a laid one. Except that they will have no metal or tarr on them. What if cars can't go over them? A bicycle can. You see villagers walking past each other in the morning and evening when they go to their farms or return from them. Much like the regular ones, some strange beaten paths have also existed alongside in villages. They might have had some use in the past when historical times demanded that they serve the soldiers and merchants reach out to other parts of the country. But now they remain hidden in bushes and thorny plants. Here you can see one such pathway leading to a nearby house. But it can also go all the way to the far off mountains. What lies there nobody knows. Sushil Bhan has himself never gone there. But he always wanted to go. Just out of curiosity he dreams of going there one day. Not that he expects much from there once he has reached. But that he has walked so far to the mountains can make him feel happy about himself.
