Astronaut's Ceiling Support Wires Get Tangled Up- Ceiling Stagehands Try to Fix The Problem. Bob the CapCom at Houston is the only person that should be speaking directly to the Astronauts for communications. One of the Fake Moon Bay Stagehands speaks directly to Astronaut Jack, advising him to stay still while the ceiling stagehands untangle Jacks support cable wires above him. From above Astronaut Jack, a large shadow from the ceiling cable wires/device is seen crossing from the left in the background. Astronaut Gene lets Astronaut Jack know that the wires have been untangled and that Jack's communications antennae is standing back up again. The TV camera the whole time is facing downwards, and only starts to move upwards when Astronaut Gene says "Antennas up", then the TV camera suddenly stops when Astronaut Gene suddenly says, "wait a minute", then the TV camera starts to move up again when Gene gives the all clear by saying "In a snap a snap" The term 'snap' is used, for the connection between the ceiling support wires and the Astronaut's hidden body harness. The Fake Moon Bay Stagehand talking directly to Astronaut Jack says at :13 "They(Ceiling Stagehands) tell me they're both still in middle deep through it (trying to untangle the wire cables supporting Astronaut Jack) , rather you wait in line, Ok?" Astronaut Jack replies "Ok" At :18 and :26 a large shadow from the ceiling cable wires/device is seen crossing from the left in the background from above Astronaut Jack. Astronaut Gene speaking to Jack says at :22 "Stay there" Astronaut Jack replies "I think I'm trying too" Astronaut Gene says at :44 "Ok your antennas up....wait a minute,(the camera suddenly stops)....in a snap a snap"(all clear is given, and the TV camera starts to rise again, looking at Astronaut Jack) Astronaut Jack says at 1:07 "Pain to do that" Astronaut Gene replies "The guy(ceiling stagehand) can't get close enough to ya, there ya are, leave a little more"(Cable Wire Slack) Astronaut Gene says at 1:22 "And its up, let me get the snap"(Astronaut Gene fixes the ceiling wire connection directly on Astronaut Jack's backpack) Astronaut Jack referring to the problems he has been having with the connection between the hidden ceiling cable wires and his hidden spacesuit harness, says at 1:42 "Well I don't know, shall I take my gloves off, take my clothes(spacesuit) off. It must have gone on for a while(The cable wire problems), because we were away for Lunch." Astronaut Gene says 1:50 "Lets see what the boulder field looks like up there" Astronaut Jack replies "Well I know what its going to look like"(Jack has already seen the boulder field during practice sessions in the Fake Moon Bay) Bob at Houston replies "No you don't" Astronaut Jack says "My hands will be much better off without em"(the gloves) Astronaut Gene replies "Take em off then....no" This video as you hear & see it, is located for download at NASA site: *******history.nasa.gov/alsj/a17/video17.html Apollo 17 Video Library Traverse to Station 6 Journal Text: 163:46:46 RealVideo Clip: (3 minutes 24 seconds) NASA did redacted editing & cleaning up of the text, to cover what they really said in the written records of the Astronauts conversations. Astronaut Gets Tangled up in His Lunar Module Support Wire Cable & Struggles To Get Free. Astronaut Jim goes inside the Lunar Module prop, after unhooking his ceiling support wire cables and climbing inside the LM, he says "Why would anybody put a Snap there?". The 'Snap' is the connector between the ceiling support wire cables, and the Astronaut's hidden body harness on the top of his backpack. These two things together, make it appear that the Astronauts bounce around in the Fake Moon Bay in 1/6 gravity. When The Astronauts go inside the Lunar Module prop, they have to unhook from the ceiling cable wires, then re-hook up to a cable wire coming down from the roof inside the Lunar Module, so that the heavy weight of their space-suit is supported when they stand. Astronaut Jim gets tangled up in the Lunar Module wire-cable, and struggles to get free. At 22: Astronaut Jim starts to get inside the Lunar Module prop......he wonders why the Lunar Module roof support wire cable connection is set-up incorrectly, and says at :43 "Why would anybody put a Snap there?" Astronaut Jim says at :48 "Hey I've got a Tragedy" Astronaut Dave replies " What are ya doing" Jim replies "My shield, hung up, up the top"(Astronaut Jim struggles to get untangled from the Lunar Module ceiling wire cable) Astronaut Dave replies "Go easy, go easy.....stand by, let me come up there and watch, take it easy" Astronaut Dave is up on the LM ladder checking on Astronaut Jim, and Dave says at 1:16 "Looks like some ah, looks like Trovato under there"(Travato means 'characteristic or appropriate even if not true') Astronaut Jim replies "OK on it" As Astronaut Dave climbs down the Lunar Module ladder he jokingly refers to the problems Jim has had while 'snap' hooking up to the LM roofs wire-cable support. Dave says at 1:23 "It's a real hooker there, I don't remember seeing that in the 1/6 G Training.
