Watch the first trailer for Captain Marvel, Marvel’s next big film watch in Ultra HD here; The first trailer for the next installment of Marvel’s cinematic universe is here. The first look at Captain Marvel arrived this morning on Good Morning America. There’s a lot of anticipation for this movie after the end of this summer’s Avengers: Infinity War. (Spoilers for the two of you who haven’t seen the movie yet) During that film’s end credits scene, we saw Nick Fury send out a message via a pager before he dissolves into dust. Before the scene ends, we get a glimpse of the screen, featuring Captain Marvel’s trademark logo. Clearly, her origin story is going to play a big part in what’s to come in the next Avengers film. Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly ran a big feature on the film, officially showing off Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) in her costume for the first time. The feature showed off some new details about the film, explaining that Danvers will already have her powers — this won’t be an origin story, and that she’s left Earth to join a team known as Starforce, led by a character played by Jude Law. The feature also confirms that she’ll run into Lee Pace’s Ronan — whom we first met in Guardians of the Galaxy — and that the Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens who have long been a classic villain in Marvel’s comics. The 1990s-set film will also feature a younger Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), as well as Danvers’ time as a pilot for the US Air Force. Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8th, 2019. Marvel Studios has unveiled the first full trailer for the MCU’s upcoming and highly anticipated installment, Captain Marvel. The 1990s-set film serves as Marvel Studios’ first prequel, as well as its first superhero movie with a female lead as Oscar-winner Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers, a pilot with superhuman powers who gets caught up in the middle of a galactic war betwee

Captain Marvel. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the twenty-first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Liz Flahive, and Carly Mensch also contributing to the screenplay. Brie Larson stars in the title role, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. Marvel Studios began development on the film as early as May 2013 and officially announced it in October 2014, making it the studio's first female-led superhero film. Perlman and LeFauve were hired as a writing team the following April after submitting separate takes on the character and Larson was announced as Carol Danvers at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con International. Boden and Fleck were brought on board to direct in April 2017, and Robertson-Dworet soon took over scripting duties, with the remainder of the cast filled out and additional screenwriters added by the start of filming. Captain Marvel's story borrows elements from the 1971 "Kree–Skrull War" comic book storyline. Location filming began in January 2018, with principal photography beginning that March, taking place in California and Louisiana, and concluding in July 2018. Both Jackson and Gregg were digitally de-aged for the film. Captain Marvel is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 8, 2019, in IMAX and 3D
