The idea is that herbie and owner see an ad for an outback rally in australia to raise money for an endangered animal charaty. and decide to come to australia to enter. herbie finds out that the race is pritty tough because of dirt rough roads, and wild animals that like to sit on the roads etc.
herbie picks up an injured wombat and takes the wombat to a vet along the way. but herbie (a little worse for wear) still wins the race.

The highpoint of the retreat was the hike up Bluff Knoll (elev. 1095m) where we enjoyed the view and celebrated Holy Mass - likely the first time Holy Mass was ever celebrated up there!

Fr. Joseph Michael went on this 50km procession from St. Michael's Cathedral in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Marian Hills, Tarcutta, NSW. He was the chaplain (and cameraman) to this group of approximately 70 Catholics of various ages. The journey was spread over the course of several days, camping along the way.
