World famous for its prestigious University and breath-taking architecture, historic Cambridge sits amongst the beautiful Fenland countryside of Eastern England. The bustling city centre offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities including the famous college 'Backs', popular for punting, and the imposing Fitzwilliam Museum. There are also fantastic shopping facilities including many specialist book shops and a daily market in the ancient market square. Cambridge is the perfect venue for a summer of immersion in English language, educational legacy and culture. Nearby is the market town of Saffron Walden, famous for its half-timbered buildings, Newmarket, home to the famous horse racing course and Duxford where the Imperial War Aviation museum is situated.
Located in the heart of the city, the University is only a short walk from the shopping, bars, restaurants and entertainment which can be found in the centre of Cambridge. Excellent facilities, both academic and entertainment based, are available. The University's main campuses provide both areas for study as well as places to escape from it all. There are all the academic facilities you would expect, from dedicated teaching rooms through to libraries and computing facilities. Also on the campus are catering outlets providing delicious meals. On campus there is a choice of the Batman Cafe where you can surf the net over a coffee or the refectory for more substantial meals. A mixture of historic and modern buildings are home to around 8,000 students and there is also a gym/fitness room. Cambridge is THE place to be for an active social life and a rich student experience.
'No Guts No Glory'
Finished in a wonderful authentic colour scheme representative of the Thunderbolts of the 78th Fighter Group based at Duxford (station 357) England from April 1943 during World War Two. In particular, the aircraft flown by Lt Colonel Ben Mayo of the 82nd squadron.
Two of Sony's XDcam's are put through their paces by freelance cameraman, Alister Chapman. The PMW-350 and PMW-EX1R are tested and reviewed in challenging conditions in Duxford for the last air show of the 2009 season.
Wonder Woman 1984 (also marketed as WW84: Wonder Woman) is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is a sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman and is the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, from the script she wrote with Geoff Johns and David Callaham, from the story written by Johns and Jenkins. It stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, with Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen in supporting roles. It is the fourth live-action theatrical film featuring the title character, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Wonder Woman and Justice League (2017); it will be the second full-length feature film centered around the character. The film follows Diana as she faces Maxwell Lord and Cheetah in 1984.
Discussion of a sequel began shortly after the release of the first film in June 2017, and the decision to proceed was confirmed the following month. Principal photography began on June 13, 2018 – with filming taking place at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden in England, as well as the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia in the United States, London and Duxford in England, Tenerife and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, and Almería in Andalusia, Spain – and finished on December 22, 2018, after a six-month shoot. Additional filming took place in July 2019.
Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures in RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, IMAX and IMAX 3D on June 5, 2020.
