Model no: 34 This ultrasonic proximity detector comprising independent, battery or AC powered transmitter and receiver sections make use of a pair of matched ultrasonic piezo ceramic transducers operating at around 40 kHz each. This circuit is used in getting reflected signals of 40 KHz from the object (like a missile) to feed that to a program to the microcontroller. Opamps are used to amplify the weak signals received upon reflection from the obstacle, by the receiving ultrasonic transducer sent by the transmitting one, to switch on appropriate load while the program is executed at the microcontroller end. In this application of project consist of the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver which works for the frequency of 40 kHz and the 555 timer is used to generate the 40 kHz frequency. At the receiver side the received signal is amplified and given to the microcontroller which is used as to operate the relay driver (ULN2003) for operating the relay to drive the loads. The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier. The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components. The main scope of project is to send commands from one cell phone to be received by another cell phone mounted on the robot to receive the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) mode commands which are then decoded by a DTMF decoder. The corresponding codes are then fed to a microcontroller, programmed to recognize those codes to operate 2nos DC motors through motor driver IC for any direction movement as per the sent commands from sender’s mobile. Model no: 36 High intensity discharge lamp (HID) presently used for urban street light are based on principle of gas discharge, thus the intensity is not controllable by any voltage reduction method as the discharge path is broken. White Light Emitting Diode (LED) based lamps are soon replacing the HID lamps in street light. Sensors used on either sides of the road send logic commands for the LEDs at the output to get glowing for a patch ahead. Intensity control is also possible by pulse width modulation based on sensing the movement and density of vehicles. The pulse width becomes very narrow on sensing no movement of vehicles. As the vehicle moves forward, the intensity goes on increasing for few lights ahead, and as it passes away the intensity goes on falling. Thus this way of dynamically changing intensity or off to on helps in saving a lot of energy. A programmable microcontroller is engaged to provide different duty cycle for different intensities at different density conditions. Model no: 40 The main scope of project is to send message from any tampered energy meter to be received by the control room by RF communication. The receiving signals are then fed to a microcontroller, programmed to recognize those tampered meters to provide a display at the control room with buzzer sound each time it is tampered. For this real-time scenario we are taking a temperature logging System for an remote plant operation. Here 8 analog temperature sensors in multiplexing mode are connected to a programmable microcontroller of 8051 family through a IC ADC 0808. Then the values of all the sensors are sent serially by MC through Max 32 IC to the Computer. Software “DAQ System” loaded on the Computer takes these values and shows them on its front panel, and also logs them to the data base "daq.mdb". One can set by interactive way some parameters like set point, low limit, and high limit on the computer screen. When temperature of some sensors increases beyond set point, the microcontroller sends commands to relay driver IC ULN2003. The heaters (lamps in the test board) connected through relay contacts are (specific for that sensor) turned OFF (or ON in opposite case). High limit and low limits are for generating an alarm in the event of system failure. When temperature goes above high limit or low limit the alarm is going to blow a sound.
