Wyndchymes Tess, a one and a half year-old Japanese Bobtail from West Windsor, New Jersey, also known as Tess, won the heart of Judge Larry Adkinson and thousands of New Yorkers at the 5th annual CFA-IAMS Cat Championship, sponsored by the Cat Fanciers' Association, the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats. More than three hundred cats competed at the show, which was held on October 13-14 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Winner Tess was joined by first runner-up Astral Charm Give Me Kisses, a 11-month-old blue cream Persian from Kansas City, Kansas and second runner-up Amber Snow Cayenne, a seven-month-old brown patched classic tabby and white Longhaired Scottish Fold kitten from Columbia, South Carolina. The Show placed the spotlight on 325 show cats representing the 41 pedigreed breeds recognized by the CFA. Among the breeds that were represented at the Show were Japanese Bobtail, American Curl, Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Cornish Rex, Sphynx, Siamese, and Persians. Highlighted at the show was Feline Agility Competition (FAC), a challenge that is sweeping the nation. The tournament, continuing to grow as a show spectator favorite in the 2006-2007 season, was won by Abyssinian Huey, owned by Jennifer Lanci of Long Island, New York who navigated a series of ten obstacles, including tunnels, stairs, and poles in 10 seconds. Myriam Benzerga is a very beautiful model from Algeria. Myriam Benzerga was first runner-up during in the 2006 Arab World Top Model. She became famous through the tv reality show which lasted over eight weeks, and she was finally crowned 1st runner up on the 8th of June 2006. Myriam was 20 years old with a height of 177cm, at the time of the vote she received 40 percent of the public votes. During the contest, Rym El Saidi from Tunisia was selected as the winner, at the time she got 49percent of people votes. While Myriam might look like an ordinary woman, on the catwalk she is simply amazing, like a true runway model.

Rosie Sato Wraps Up $10,000 Grand Prize in the Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest NEW YORK (December 2, 2011) — Rosie Sato, a master gift wrapper from Gardena, Calif. was crowned the 2011 “Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper" in a national gift-wrapping contest sponsored by 3M, the maker of Scotch brand tape. At Rockefeller Center in New York City, Rosie out-wrapped seven other expert gift wrappers to win the ultimate holiday present – a $10,000 cash prize Finalists wrapped odd-shaped gifts in three rounds during the contest. Round 1: a gumball machine and a board game, Round 2: an old-fashioned snow sled, Round 3: a six-foot tall backyard play set. The contestants were judged on three criteria: appearance of the wrapped gifts, the technique used to wrap the gifts and speed. A preliminary judge selected the eight finalists – four amateurs and four professionals –based on a brief essay and tip that showed their talent and experience in the art of gift wrapping The first runner-up, Diana Lemos from San Diego, Calif. received a $2,500 cash prize.
