Soul on Ice is about an all-black teenage hockey team that won and dominated the 1995 US-Canadian Hockey Championship called the Can/Am Tournament at Lake Placid, New York. Soul on Ice is inspired by the true story of the Detroit Rockies, a successful inner city hockey team. In 1995 the Detroit Rockies became the first American team to win the prestigious Challenge Cup at the Can/Am Tournament (matching the best American versus the best Canadian kids under 18) since 1965, ending a 30-year drought. They accomplished this in Lake Placid, New York on the very same ice where the so-called 'Miracle on Ice' took place (the historic 1980 Winter Olympics where the USA beat the Russian Red Army team).

Legba's Juke Joint, Book 1, is the story of Reggie "Teddy Bear" DuBois, who goes down to the crossroads in Mississippi in 1939 to make his deal with the Devil so he can be the greatest guitar player that ever lived. And, as with every deal with the devil, it's sure to end badly. Legba's Juke Joint is a 9 graphic novel series which explores the evolution of American music, from it's blues roots in the 1930's to today. Each book is about a different main character, in a different decade, making their own deal with the Devil. Part of what makes this project so exciting is that it not only explores the evolution of American music, but each book is reminiscent of the comic book art of the period in which the story is set, so in essence it is also a look at the evolution of comic book art. And as if that all wasn't cool enough, each book will have a companion album of original music "by the main character".

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on a film series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away". The franchise began in 1977 with the release of the film Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope in 1981, which became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by two successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was released between 1999 and 2005, albeit received mixed reactions from both critics and fans. Another trilogy that continues the story from Return of the Jedi began in 2015 with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The first eight films were nominated for Academy Awards (with wins going to the first two films released) and have been commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of over US$8.5 billion, making Star Wars the second highest-grossing film series. Spin-off cinematic films include Rogue One (2016) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). The film series has spawned into other media, including books, television shows, computer and video games, theme park attractions and lands, and comic books, resulting in significant development of the series' fictional universe. Star Wars holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise". In 2015, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at US$42 billion, making Star Wars the second-highest-grossing media franchise of all time.
