These giant hailstones fell from a massive storm (supercell) that produced hailstones that may have broken the Australian record for hailstone diameter. The hailstones produced holes in the roof of this house.

Massive hailstones began pounding my vehicle and we watched helplessly moments later as one made a direct impact on the windshield smashing it and others followed. I could feel the whole car vibrating from each pounding. This event occurred north east of Singleton NSW Australia

These huge hailstones destroyed the body work on the car and smashed the windshield. Such 4 to 5 inch hailstones have been known to injure or even kill animals and even humans. Never venture out in such conditions. In this case other vehicles also suffered the same fate including this Mercedes Benz that passed by.
