Hamsterz Life review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow import review of Hamsterz Life for Nintendo DS developed by Digital Kids and published by Ubisoft. In the wake of Nintendogs, gamers around the world were opened to the idea of maintaining a pet on their portable video game devices... something which we here in Hamster Thursday kinda take for granted. So where Nintendo had Nintendogs, Ubisoft had... well, basically every animal you could care to name, only with a Z tacked on the end because isn't that edgy? But at least they had the sense to team up with Digital Kids - the team behind the Hamster Paradise series - to create Hamsterz Life, a language-education and hamster-raising simulation. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamsterz Life for Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Hamster Paradise review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow import review of Hamster Paradise for Game Boy Color developed and published by Atlus. Hamster Paradise: A paradise for hamsters. Or, as it happens, a simulation of a hamster in a cage, complete with a wheel, water bottle, sleeping chamber, and a larger room outside ready for mischief. By raising hamster after hamster, you're fulfilling a moderately deranged professor's lifelong dream of creating the MIRACLE HAMSTER. A HAMSTER THAT WILL NOT DIE. But it'll take generations upon generations of hamsters to accomplish that. For now, you can just take care of 'em, print out pictures of 'em, play minigames or make menu-based choices, and watch them being cute. Cute for science. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamster Paradise for Game Boy Color and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

The hamster professor and his assistant return as well, and introduce new friends who are very interested in the care of small animals. Hamster Paradise 4 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow import review of Hamster Paradise 4 for Game Boy Color developed by Digital Kids and published by Atlus. Hamster Paradise 4 asks the question, "So, what about TWO HAMSTERS?" The majority of the hamster-rearing action from the first two iterations returns, along with some new minigames... but the biggest difference is in the inclusion of a second hamster and their various hamster-interactions, formerly available only in multiplayer. The hamster professor and his assistant return as well, and introduce... well, not much else. Some features have been stripped back, to make room for that second hamster. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamster Paradise 4 for Game Boy Color and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Kung Zhu review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Kung Zhu for Nintendo DS developed by 1st Playable Productions and published by Activision. Kung Zhu takes everyone's favorite band of marketing-tie-in hamsters, the Zhu Zhu Pets, and gives them swords and hammers and fierce uppercuts and rocket launchers. That seems a little excessive for your average, run-of-the-mill hamster, but in this case they're tasked with maintaining world peace from their military HQ... until suddenly a number of their comrades-in-arms are kidnapped. Who's gonna save them? ANTHOPOMOPRHIC HAMSTERS. This video review features video gameplay footage of Kung Zhu for Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Hamster Monogatari 3 EX, 4, Special review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hamster Monogatari 3 EX, 4, Special for Game Boy Advance developed and published by Culture Brain. Hamster Monogatari 3 EX, 4, Special takes the all-over-the-place, "We can do anything" attitude of the HamuMono series and channels... wait. It's like they took HamuMono 2 and just... changed the number. Whether it's 3 EX, or 4, there's almost no change to the gameplay, design, or the general gist: Raise a hamster through operant conditioning and training regimes. Heck 3 EX and 4 share exactly the same cast of characters, with only subtle changes to the scenario and a revamped map screen. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamster Monogatari 3 EX, 4, Special for Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Hamster Monogatari 2 GBA review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hamster Monogatari 2 GBA for Game Boy Advance developed and published by Culture Brain. Hamster Monogatari 2 GBA takes the all-over-the-place, "We can do anything" attitude of the HamuMono series and channels it into... a standard hamster-raising simulation. No puzzles, no epic RPG, just a girl with a hamster, a town full of folks to interact with, and the satisfaction of watching your hamster grow up into a tokusatsu hero. (Yes, that's actually a thing that can happen.) Yet despite this more conventional interpretation, Hamster Monogatari 2 GBA still finds ways to innovate, including the ability to praise or scold your hamster, in a crude application of operant conditioning. In other words, actually RAISING your hamster, not just feeding it. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamster Monogatari 2 GBA for Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Hamster Monogatari Collection review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hamster Monogatari Collection for Game Boy Advance developed and published by Culture Brain. Hamster Monogatari Collection compiles three different phases of hamster-centric gaming, one of which isn't actually a game, and one of which is just a new version of the Fantasy Puzzle version of the game we've already seen. "Hamster Monogatari" is just an umbrella term for any hamster-related games produced by Culture Brain, usually smaller-form affairs suitable for inclusion on a compilation like this one, which incorporates that familiar block-moving puzzle game, a monster-training RPG, and a fortune-teller. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hamster Monogatari Collection for Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

HAMSTERS ARE EVERYWHERE. Mostly, the occupy the forest right outside your hamster's house! But perservere, and you might just end up with... dance lessons. Yes, dance lessions.
