Tracking Ida is an educational alternate reality game (ARG) inspired by the pioneering investigative journalism of Ida B. Wells in the 1890s. Players uncover Ida B. Wells’ crusade against lynching and use her strategies to investigate police and vigilante killings today. Along the way, they solve puzzles, decode messages through a phonograph, role-play as investigative journalists, interview members of their community, and harness social media to spread awareness. IndieCade 2017 – Impact Award Winner The Impact Award - This award honors games which tackle, or offer a method for discussing, social issues in a whole new way. This may be in the form of serious games and advocacy or something more abstract: an invitation to understand, empathize, and do better by one another. Impact Award games take us out of our comfort zones and confront us directly on inequality, buried histories, and social progress yet to be done.

WonderCon is an annual comic book, science fiction, and film convention held in the San Francisco Bay Area (1987–2011), then - under the name WonderCon Anaheim - in Anaheim, California (2012–2015, 2017–), and WonderCon Los Angeles in 2016. The convention returned to the Anaheim Convention Center in 2017 after a one-year stint in Los Angeles. While the main attraction of WonderCon has always been various retailers selling back issues of comic books and action figures, the exhibitor list has grown to include retailers of specialty DVDs. Legba's Juke Joint, Book 1, is the story of Reggie "Teddy Bear" DuBois, who goes down to the crossroads in Mississippi in 1939 to make his deal with the Devil so he can be the greatest guitar player that ever lived. And, as with every deal with the devil, it's sure to end badly. Legba's Juke Joint is a 9 graphic novel series which explores the evolution of American music, from it's blues roots in the 1930's to today. Each book is about a different main character, in a different decade, making their own deal with the Devil. Part of what makes this project so exciting is that it not only explores the evolution of American music, but each book is reminiscent of the comic book art of the period in which the story is set, so in essence it is also a look at the evolution of comic book art. And as if that all wasn't cool enough, each book will have a companion album of original music "by the main character".

We started Simply Gum because we wanted a gum that was natural and delicious. A gum that we’d be proud to chew and proud to share. It turns out that regular chewing gum is made of a plastic base and filled with questionable substances like aspartame and BHT. Consumers are kept in the dark because the FDA allows brands to hide synthetic ingredients in the catch-all term "gum base" on the label. We knew we could do better. And so we created a line of chewing gum, followed by a line of breath mints, that reflect our core values: Real ingredients, delicious flavors, and beautiful packaging. Nissan is banking on still having the force. After a successful tie-up between Nissan's Rogue sport utility vehicle and the "Star Wars" franchise a year ago, Nissan is back with a "Star Wars"-themed promotion across its 2018 product line at this year's L.A. Auto Show. The automaker plans to display modified, "Star Wars"-themed versions of not only the Rogue, but also the Rogue Sport compact SUV and the Altima and Maxima sedans, among others. There will be seven of the concept vehicles overall. They're tied to the upcoming movie, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," set for release Dec. 15. Nissan especially wants to align the film's futuristic motif with its Nissan Intelligent Mobility system that includes emergency braking and other collision-avoidance features.
