The Abbey of Vaux-de-Cernay is a former Cistercian monastery dating from the twelfth century. It is located in the diocese of Versailles, in the towns of Cernay-la-Ville and Auffargis, in the department of Yvelines and the region of Ile-de-France, about forty kilometers south-west of Paris . The abbey is located in the forest of Yveline Chevreuse Valley, near the forest of Rambouillet. The abbey is closed by the French revolutionary power and the monks are driven out (around 1791). Sold as national goods, the buildings are soon dismantled as quarries of stone. What remains standing in the twenty-first century bears witness to the former grandeur of the Cistercian abbey. The remains of the abbey are classified as historical monuments in 1994.

s African Americans, the winning edge in business has historically been denied us. Access to capital, ownership rights, quality education and relationships with White decision makers in the business world were historically hard to come by. Many tried to succeed and did but many more fell by the wayside, unable to overcome these huge barriers. We no longer live in the day and age where these obstacles are forced in place by society.

The word “salary” was derived from the word “salt.” Salt was highly valued and its production was legally restricted in ancient times, so it was historically used as a method of trade and currency. The word “salad” also originated from “salt,” and began with the early Romans salting their leafy greens and vegetables. Every cell in the body contains salt – an adult contains about 250 grammes, equivalent to a box of Maldon Salt. The word salt used in Bible refers to be a preservative, to keep it from rotting away. In older times, people who did not have refrigeration used salt to keep the meat or food from spoiling. We are to keep the truth alive and keep the world from being spoiled by satan and sin through deception.
