Mark of the Ninja takes the up-and-coming stealth action genre, and pushes it back into 2D platforming, of the Metroid or Castlevania varieties. Despite its flatness, there are plenty of ways to maneuver, like hiding behind potted plants or statuary, lurking inside dark doorways, or just crawling through the airducts and access corridors, accompanied by stilted haiku reading and a unique animation style.
