Transcript by Newsy**** BY BRANDON TWICHELL You're watching multisource US video news analysis from Newsy. Most of us have had embarrassing photos on Facebook, but what if your mug shot was on there, too? The city council in Huntington Beach, California, recently rejected a plan to post mug shots to the police department’s Facebook page. We’re analyzing the failed plan with coverage from KTLA, The Allen Hunt Show, Staho, and Huntington Beach Independent. A city council member proposed posting mug shots on Facebook as a way to shame repeat DUI offenders, but the idea was struck down out of fear it would alienate residents altogether. Los Angeles CW affiliate KTLA explains what would have happened if the city council had accepted the proposal. “That means people like Robert Rizzo, who had a DUI here last year, if he was to be arrested again for DUI, his mug shot--his new mug shot--would go up on the police department’s Facebook page.” The proposal was brought up in the first place because the city has the most alcohol-related driving deaths in California. Syndicated talk radio host Allen Hunt says he disagrees with the method, but he understands what the councilman wanted to accomplish. “Now, shame has its place, I’ll give you that. I’m not one of these people that wants to poo-poo shame. Shame is not only good--really, it’s not even good for the people who have been victimized, it’s good for the victimizers. It’s good for the perpetrator because it causes you to change and become a better person.” But a DUI attorney agrees with the city council’s decision and reasoning -- the people wouldn’t stand for it. “[U]ploading DUI suspects’ mug shots on Facebook is a violation of their right to privacy, and would likely not discourage drunk driving offenders. In addition, the DUI attorney argues such an approach would have a negative impact on relations with the community, the police department and city officials.” Though the idea was struck down in a 4-to-3 vote, the debate is not over. The Huntington Beach Independent says one councilman is still considering Facebook’s potential. “Councilman Don Hansen wasn't ready to shut the door on the potential of Facebook. He said if the city is fine with posting the picture of a sexual predator or a burglar, it should be comfortable with posting the pictures of someone who poses a threat to innocent lives.” So, was the city council right to reject this idea? Could it have had an impact on offenders’ habits? Get more multisource US video news analysis from Newsy.

"I've been out of slam for ages, though I still keep my ear to the ground as to what events are taking place. I think slam is a viable means of generating interest in poetry, particularly amongst young people--by "young", I mean people who are coming to poetry for the first time. I think its..." BY JESSICA HORD You're watching multisource US video news analysis from Newsy. “It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence as a propaganda tool, that’s not who we are.” (Video: CBS News) The news came first from CBS during an interview for 60 Minutes. The president decided not to release photos of Osama bin Laden after his death – the reasoning – the risk to national security outweighed the gain of closure. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed the president’s comments and read the president’s answer to the speculation question. “There's no doubt that Bin Laden is dead. Certainly there's no doubt among al Qaeda members that he is dead. And so we don't think that a photograph in and of itself is going to make any difference. There are going be some folks who deny it. The fact of the matter is, you will not see bin Laden walking on this Earth again.” (Video: ABC News) Immediately after the White House’s decision – the media responded on both sides of the issue. “I think the president’s comments about not using it as a trophy, not seem to be waving it in people’s faces like some kind of flag. I think that’s the respectful decision to make.” (Video: MSNBC) “One of the audiences for that photo is domestic American consumption. And I think that the American people have made it very clear – we’d like to see the photo. We just want to have this conclusively proven that that was bin Laden.” (Video: Fox News) New York Daily News says the government has… “...released photos of slain Al Qaeda members in the past … they also released photos of Sadamm Hussein’s sons … after they were killed in a fierce gun battle with U.S. troops … Those pictures were made public by President George W. Bush’s White House.” CNN says the White House may not release the photos, but that doesn’t mean people won’t seem them. “Even if you don’t release them formally that they’re going to get out. Those are just the times we live in.” Several images are already circulating around the Internet with claims they show the real deal. Follow Newsy on Twitter Newsy_Videos for updates in your stream. *******www.tigerm**** Had a lot of fun making this track! Made this one for a lot of reasons. =) The first reason is because my favorite Galaxy Angel in the anime Galaxy Angel is Milfeulle [the pink haired girl shouting about the bully if you're watching the video] There is also a band name by the name of "Eek! A Mouse!" And the title is a ref to that band which I thought had a very clever and catchy name! =3 Another reason [and mainly so] is because I allegorically feel and deal with being bullied in a simlar way. Recently, I was reminded one of the reasons in my teens I discontinued hanging out with some people. Although I am often uptempo and sunny [or so I'm told] I do have a full range of feelings... which often seems to be forgotten because I do -- I tend to see the sunny side of things and want to share that good feeling! However -- I am beginning to notice some who are insecure seem to take this as weakness. I've been through far too much to become depressed over bullying anymore, but I have indeed been there. A lot. Thank God for luck. =3 Early teens I used to get bullied a lot online which was my substitute for a physical social life at one point; as while growing up I had strict parenting by parents who cared a lot about my brothers, sister and I and which I am very grateful for and glad they kept the family in general out of trouble! =3 As for being some of the things I dealt with online sometimes... It didn't matter what the forum theme was: Stepcharts, Furry, Anime or Video Games... I tended to seem to attract the attention of cool people in the community yes... but even before I ever THOUGHT about building a website (didn't build my first until I was 24 years old!) as early as 12 and 13, it appeared I also attracted hatred and jealousy from those in authority [Moderators and administrators] for whatever reasons... guess my artwork--stepcharts/music/poetry/writing from passion!? o.O ...pset those who spent time policing. *Shrugs* I'm used to it now. =) And I'm able to do a lot more as well =3 Whatever the case was -- and whatever the subject was -- it seemed that I'd simply offend because I was "doing" and others would just "talk." But it didn't just stay online. Once around 15, I told my own father that I thought that he was jealous of me because he was treating me meanly. He grounded me and had me write down "jealousy" and the definition of it over and over. Later he complimented me for the very same thing he was treating me meanly about. [Going to keep that confidential, but yes, it was something creative, and yes he liked it after I was done with it =) It's almost like he was testing me... people are odd like that sometimes =3] Sometimes I would get depressed about it being pressured over doing things I understood other people wanted to do and would become jealous me because of. No one really seemed to think outside of themselves when I was around and so at some point I just decided to -- welp! Got to a point where I didn't feel like being around anyone else although it was so odd... people would ask me to be around [almost like they WANTED to see what I'd do to get them mad at me! No kidding... that's how I felt when I'd be asked to "show something" or "talk about what I was doing" =)] So I began to create art and admire art from a distance and then began to be inspired to share my own art. =) It seemed to work at one point (especially when I began making stepfiles and stepcharts for Stepmania around 18) I learned to have fun and joke on myself so mean people would either leave me alone thinking "This guy is NUTS!" Or eventually get others to laugh with me about me--instead of being destructive--I became constructive. =3 I still don't smoke, drink or use alcohol. And I don't expect anyone to really like this video or song either [or at least act like they do -- it likely will just inspire more jealousy -- but bah! My creative-soul is what keeps me full of joy! =)] However -- one thing I do not like is any form of oppression or injustice! Call it cheap and call it boring, but I do get tired of bullies because I do know because I've dealt with quite a few. (usually in passive ways and bullying... is usually over someone else's insecurities I find.) For these reasons (and probably a lot more I am not thinking of right now!) this scene really reached out and touched me so I thought it would be fun to do a whole "Dance-Quirk-Scene-Re-en-Action" "Original Song Scene" (Phew! ^^; Long Name! =D) And welp! Here it is! =3 F.I.L., -WAM! DJ, TIGER M! ^_~* This Is TIGER M! =) *******www.tigerm****

As announced, the return of RAMSES DE KIMON, the Pharaoh of Reggae is effective. The album 'LE PEUPLE' meaning “PEOPLE”, is an inspiration more topical than ever in the history of the old continent and the title NO REASON announces a series of audiovisual productions to stay alive in the eyes of music lovers. In this chaotic era, the past has a great artistic appeal. Martial Raysse combines classical art with modern pop art, which means people are trying to interpret classic art in a contemporary way to make it more suitable for the future. Refined styling, retro patterns and timeless elements play more important roles in the fashion industry, laying a strong foundation for innovative design. Now, classics are to be awakened. We respect classics but not replicate them, we recreate classics with modern art forms.
