Michael J. Fox And Wife Tracy Share Secret To Long Marriage
Life is unpredictable. At one moment you can have it all, and then on the other you can face difficult challenges that change everything.
Michael J. Fox was the smart-aleck teen on Family Ties, then the furry heartthrob on Teen Wolf. All throughout his acting career, his talent shone through until it became temporarily overshadowed by one thing.
When Michael J. Fox was just 29, a young man with a fresh marriage to Tracy Pollan and a new baby, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Now a father of four, he and Tracy are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary while managing his progressive disease as best they can.
The Canadian-American actor no longer stars in movies like he did when he was younger, but instead provides the voice for movie roles. He has enjoyed a few cameo appearances though, and participates in important documentaries.
Through it all, Tracy has been by his side, his rock and his lifelong love. The two actually met while both were youngsters filming Family Ties and have grown up in the business.
Tracy actually played the role of his on-screen girlfriend Ellen. Soon thereafter, they wed in 1988 at a picturesque Vermont Inn.
Just 10 months after they married, their oldest of four children was born. Then two years later he was officially diagnosed with Parkinson’s despite experiencing some symptoms leading up to that point.
Their backgrounds are quite different, but the positive outlook on life that they share is the thread that ties them together. Michael, 57, grew up as a military child and dropped out of high school, finally earning his GED when he was in his 30s.
Tracy was raised in a prominent Jewish New York family and attended school at the Lee Strasberg Institute. But both grew up middle children with a great sense of humor, they told People in a special interview about their 30th wedding anniversary.
Tracy confessed that they have supported each other from the start, which

Back From FOX To Childhood With Love! =D
On the television channel FOX31 [in Albany, Georgia, U.S.A.] when we were growing up; each morning there would be a section called "FOX Kids." On FOX Kids there would be a quirky little cartoon show about a post-toddler by the name of Bobby. The child who is possibly of Canadian or Irish descent--the character of his ever-quoting "Don'tchya Know" mother hints to this possibility--is followed through his adventures of everyday life. ^_^ Much like a "Doug" or "Rugrats" of the Nickelodeon television channel's fame--Bobby's World is a show to remember. =)
From a cast of unique characters with unique voices to the everyday life of the working-class suburb living citizen surrounded by the daily adventures of typical life from the park, to uncle farting in the pool [yes...], to carrying an "odd-but-cuddly" 8-legged stuffed toy about to later argue with the girl-down-the-street--Bobby's World is a continued story of childhood for some. Speaking of Childhood--I thought that it would be most appropriate to release this week's Dance Dance TIGER M stepchart from the past [did this one back around August 2003 or so after finding the .mp3 online] today! May 8th, 2011: Mother's Day in North America also known as the U.S.A.! ^_^ Why? Throughout some of the series, Bobby's mother Martha is pregnant. Metro-dad is often in-and-out of the house to provide for his family of 3 present children--twins on the way. Meanwhile, mother continues to share wisdom and give adult advice on children debates to her three children outside of the womb. Important answers to important questions like "Why can't I go with them?" "Take Your little brother so he can..." and "You should go learn..." ^_^ Motherly wisdom and a caring character ever persistent with quote "Don'tchya Know." And idea. lol. =3
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY To All Mother's of Our World! =D
Bobby's Stepchart! =D
Bobby's World stepchart is certainly far from complex. =3 If you're good at higher level stepcharts in the higher 8s, 9s, and 10s; this is not the style of chart that is going to test your "danceability." ^_^ Reason this stepchart was made honestly was to give homage to my and my sibling's childhood memories. =) My elder brother [stepbrother biologically] used to often quote jokingly, "Dontchya Know... Don'tchya know... Little Bobby!" jokingly voicing in his best Canadian/Irish accent and then break up laughing. =) These are the kinds of memories that come to me each time I play this stepchart.
And yes, there at the closing of the video for this stepchart, that is Bobby's mother's voice. Thought it would be a great thing to place into the memory of this stepchart released on this very special day! =D
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY To All The World! ^_^ For if not for mothers--I would not be writing this and you would not be reading this either! =D Stay rockin' and enjoy the stepcharts! ^_^

7/16: Michael J. Fox joins cast of FX series in recurring role; Nip Tuck prepping for final season
Spin City is a smart, sophisticated ABC sitcom about the behind-the-scenes workings of City Hall in the biggest city in America. Workaholic Mike Flaherty (Michael J. Fox) is the Deputy Mayor of New York City, serving as Mayor Randall Winston’s (Barry Bostwick, Rocky Horror Picture Show) key strategist and much-needed handler.
Mike runs the city with the help of his oddball staff: an anxious and insecure press secretary (Richard Kind, Mad About You); a sexist, boorish chief of staff (Alan Ruck, Ferris Bueller's Day Off); an impeccably groomed gay activist running minority affairs (Michael Boatman, Arli$$); a sharp and efficient, man-crazy accountant (Connie Britton, Friday Night Lights); and an idealistic young speechwriter (Alexander Chaplin). Like Mike, they are all professionally capable but personally challenged.
Spin City was an immediate hit when it debuted in 1996. The series reunited Fox with Family Ties executive producer and creator Gary David Goldberg and proved that the magic of their creative partnership was enduring.
