Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers (developed and published by Capcom) for arcades, also part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2 and Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP. The first game included in Three Wonders, Midnight Wanderers puts you behind the large schnoz of Lou, an adventurer with an arrow-firing gun (or arrow-firing hands in a pinch) as he attempts to reclaim the Chariot, a magical flying machine that'll be crucially important in the next game. It's located to the right somewhere, and you have to find it while shooting through waves of monsters, trees, I think Storm Eagle's craft makes an appearance, Clown Man might show up... Man. Foreshadowing. This video review features video gameplay footage of Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers for PS2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Three Wonders: Chariot review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Three Wonders: Chariot (developed and published by Capcom) for arcades, also part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2 and Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP. You remember Midnight Wanderers, the action platformer? Put that out of your mind. It's a SHMUP now! Fly to the right and shoot things, and occasionally put your tail to good use by bludgeoning down enemy craft. There are clouds to shoot, moons to... shoot... and even a Giant Enemy Crab. You're welcome. This video review features video gameplay footage of Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers for PS2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Three Wonders review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Three Wonders (developed and published by Capcom) for arcades, also part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2 and Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP. Three wonders? More like "Three games that look really, really good for 1991, being jammed together into one arcade machine." More more like, "An action platformer and a shoot-'em-up that fit together logically, accompanied by a sugar-coated puzzle game that's like Bomberman with more cute animals and fewer explosions." I think I'm leaning toward that last one, personally. This video review features video gameplay footage of Three Wonders for PS2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Three Wonders: Don't Pull! review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Three Wonders: Don't Pull! (developed and published by Capcom) for arcades, also part of Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2 and Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP. Push. Don't pull. Get it? The spiritual successor to 1984's Pirate Ship Higemaru (and if you've heard of that one, you get a cookie), it's a saccharine romp through maze after maze, wherein a rabbit and a squirrel try to flatten the everloving crap out of dragons and slimes. Part Bomberman, part Pac-Man, part Dig Dug (and part Higemaru), it's a respectable waste of time, burdened only for its disrespect for its Three Wonders cohorts. This video review features video gameplay footage of Three Wonders: Don't Pull! for PS2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy for Neo-Geo developed and published by SNK. Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy laid the groundwork for SNK titles like the Metal Slug series: Cartoony, over-the-top side-scrolling action games with guns and robots and absurdity and dudes fishing in the background. (Though I've yet to see a Metal Slug title with a giant enraged howler monkey.) Travelling across four planets, they're on the hunt for wanted criminals (and the requisite cash reward) and will stop at nothing to proceed to the right, forward and backward across two planes of play (all Fatal Fury-style), to get their prey. This video review features video gameplay footage of Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy for Neo-Geo and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
