In 2015, Nathan Felix, was commissioned to compose his 2nd symphony, Neon Heaven. After weeks working with the orchestra, Felix teamed up with producer/engineer Erik Wofford at Cacophony Recorders to work on the choral sessions. This is day 1 as a small group of the singers feel their way through the first movement, Love Song for Anita. The opera is sung in Kurdish and features soprano, Katrina Saporsantos and Inversion Ensemble singers Trevor Shaw and Robbie LaBanca. Inspired by the movement for 'Freedom for Öcalan, Öcalan is an expression of admiration for the spirit of the Kurds, inspired by their resilience, resistance and belief in the joy of life.

This is a music & video montage of, The War Bride, a headphone opera by composer Nathan Felix, follows a WWII bride, Jean Groundsell Contreras, from Britain as she faces new challenges as an immigrant in the USA in the 1940's. The opera follows Jean as she migrates to America by entering New York via the SS Saturnia and then down to the border of Texas & Mexico via train where she witnesses the beautiful landscapes the country has to offer. Jean faces challenges of a new culture in Nuevo Laredo and she worries if her children and grandchildren will face the discrimination she endured. The opera premiered on November 10th in San Antonio Texas at Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival.

Ribas-Dominicci, is a new chamber operetta by composer, Nathan Felix. which is based on the true story of Air Force hero Fernando Luis Ribas-Dominicci, whose fighter jet was shot down near Libya in April, 1986, during Operation El Dorado Canyon. Ribas-Dominicci, features mezzo-soprano Kathleen Shelton as Blanca Ribas and baritone Lee Farrar Bailey as Fernando Luis Ribas-Dominicci. It premiered as part of Texas Public Radio’s Daystream series on Friday April 30th 2021.
