It had to be a pretty bad because the royal highness had to have emergency surgery and is currently hospitalized. The procedure was for a broken femur due to the fall. Doctors placed a screw in her leg. Spanish media reports that she is recovering and doing fine. Her younger husband was by her side. This is her third marriage.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that American Idol producers were in negotiations to bring back Jennifer Lopez mid-season to replace Mariah Carey. When Carey found out of the possible change, she threatened to sue. The show's ratings have dropped 17 percent since it premiered this season and it seems that producers are getting desperate. A Fox spokesperson has denied the reports on Mariah being replaced by Jen saying, "This is just another ridiculous Idol judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale." Sources connected to the network have confirmed to TMZ that execs have approached JLo about returning for the remainder of the season.

Maxima and Willem married in 2002. The anticipation in the Netherlands is growing by the second as Maximamania is in the air. Merchants are selling scarves, mugs, pillows and dishes with the new king and queen’s faces printed on them. The Dutch Royal house reports that the royal couple already has a full agenda of activities following the coronation. The new queen, her majesty Queen of the Netherlands, will inaugurate the first hospital for breast cancer patients in the country.

Christian Chavez was a regular on the telenovela Rebelde, and then became a member of the show’s spin-off band RBD. Now he's making news for being arrested and booked for suspicion of felony domestic violence. TMZ reports that Chavez and his boyfriend got into a fight, which did not seem one sided because they both had visible injuries, and that is why each was taken into custody. It is now in the hands of the District Attorney as to whether or not they will end up with charges. The couple has been dating for a year and a half.

There’s a new movie in the works about exotic dancers in Mexico, and who better to ask to participate than exotic dancing icon, Tongolele. Yolanda Ivonne Montes Farrington, or Tongolele, became a professional dancer when she was only 15 years old. She starred in several films from the 1940’s through the 1980’s but most people remember her from the classic film Isle of the Snake People starring Boris Karloff. Tongolele is still active in television, theater and nightclubs. She is well known in Spain and Latin America.

Sesame Street has announced the addition of a new Hispanic neighbor, Armando. Played by actor Ismael Cruz Cordova, Mando is a Puerto Rican writer, who will be moving into the neighborhood this fall. Ismael was chosen to join the cast after Sesame Street held its first ever open castings. In a statement released by PBS, Ismael says to be incredibly proud to be a part of a show that acknowledges and celebrates diversity so whole-heartedly and he's grateful to have been given the opportunity to represent Latino-Americans on Sesame Street. The new season will have a special focus on Hispanic Heritage with lessons and new songs. Mando is just one of several neighbors who make up Sesame Streets growing bilingual community.

Mexican publishing company Grijaldo has confirmed that it will release Jenni Rivera's life story titled Inquebrantable. It will include stories that were written by the late singer throughout the years, leading up to the airplane accident that took her life last December. There are currently three published books about the singers life. Jenni Rivera, The Incredible Story of a Warrior Butterfly, We Love Jenni, An Unauthorized Biography of Jenni Rivera, and Unbreakable, My Story, My way, but none have the personal stories written by Jenni herself.
