1990 is the year when Pere Marquette engine no. 1225 having return to steam five years prior at Owosso, Michigan, is fired up for several passenger runs in the summer and early autumn before mid fall commences its return-to-the-PM mainline. It's run on the high iron is a test trial to determine that the WWII-era thoroughbred locomotive should be suited for the next year's National Railway Historical Society convention, located at Huntington, West Virginia.
