One question that tends to bother us; is; “what are we going to gain by sacrificing the solace, pleasures and/or excitement of indulgence; especially when no one can guarantee sound physical health, sound financial status and even philanthropic satisfaction; by ‘a painful abstinence’?”

WE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR CBEYOND SERVICE! We very happy with our Cbeyond service. In fact, we've recommended it to friends of ours that have their own businesses. It was important for our business to get a real T1 line instead of DSL. We haven't had any problems with it going down. A lot better than what I can say about our old DSL from AT&T/SBC. Its faster, too. We even moved our email, website, and cell phones over to them. CBEYOND IS GREAT!!!! Cbeyond is GREAT! Fantastic company catering to the SMB market only, which is largely underserved and mis-represented by larger carriers. Personalized customer support and a philanthropic company that volunteers in all markets where it operates and employs over 1500 employees and growing. It is a Direct sales model with a lot more personability than it's competitors. The salespeople have integrity and vigorous training.

CONTROL OF COMMUNICATIONS A REAL PLUS! I particularly like the ability to reroute (call forward) telephone numbers which Cbeyond affords through its website. Other companies are a virtual pain that end up 'scheduling' with zero-value-added flap, roughly akin to scheduling a waitress to bring a glass of water. PERSONALIZED CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! VERY LOW COST!!!! We have had very little problems at a very low cost with Cbeyond. Great customer service.

PepsiCo's $8 Million Water**** Commitment Boosts India Pollution, waste and poor management leaves one in eight people lacking access to safe water, according to the United Nations. PepsiCo finds that statistic unacceptable. Its latest philanthropic initiative is targeting India, where PepsiCo achieved a positive water balance in 2009, giving back to communities more water than it consumed in its manufacturing processes, a significant milestone in its growing water stewardship by implementing sustainable water initiatives, reducing wasteful water use and recycling where possible, in addition to other measures. Increasing that commitment, PepsiCo just announced an $8 million donation to Water****, the non-profit co-founded by actor/activist Matt Damon, to be used for micro-loans with a goal of providing 800,000 Indian families safe water by 2016. The WaterCredit model enables the poorest of the poor to tap into existing water lines, avoiding hours of lost employment spent waiting to buy water at hefty prices. U.S. beverage companies are increasingly involved in water initiatives since criticism of polluting and depleting local water supplies in India for business was levied against them in 2000. To continue reading about PepsiCo’s water saving initiatives, click here. About PepsiCo PepsiCo offers the world's largest portfolio of billion-dollar food and beverage brands, including 19 different product lines that generate more than $1 billion in annual retail sales each. Our main businesses -- Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, and Pepsi Cola -- also make hundreds of other enjoyable foods and beverages that are respected household names throughout the world. With net revenues of approximately $60 billion, PepsiCo's people are united by our unique commitment to sustainable growth by investing in a healthier future for people and our planet, which we believe also means a more successful future for PepsiCo. We call this commitment Performance with Purpose: PepsiCo's promise to provide a wide range of foods and beverages for local tastes; to find innovative ways to minimize our impact on the environment, including by conserving energy and water usage, and reducing packaging volume; to provide a great workplace for our associates; and to respect, support, and invest in the local communities where we operate. CITGO’s headquarters building in Houston has been awarded LEED Gold Certification for an Existing Building by the U.S. Green Building Council. CITGO implemented many green retrofits in the areas of energy efficiency, water usage, and construction materials to earn the sustainability award. The Leadership in Energy and Environment Design ratings are given out for sustainable improvements in existing structures as well as for new buildings. The Conference Board has identified the top drivers of corporate contributions as the size of a company’s workforce in the local market and humanitarian needs. The organization’s study, “The 2011 Corporate Contributions Report,” details results from a survey of 139 U.S.-based corporations, and compared data from 2011 against a 2008 benchmark. Among the findings are that 25 companies with philanthropic budgets of $50 million or more gave 83 percent of total contributions in 2010, and the pharmaceutical sector outpaced all other industry categories in giving, with a media amount of $10,000 per worldwide employee, primarily due to a high level of non-cash contributions.
