Follow: *******twitter**** Like *******facebook****The acronym N.E.R.D. stands for "No One Ever Really Dies," but childhood friends Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams, and Shay most certainly used the group to proudly emphasize the nerdier aspects of their musical personalities. Before this side project took shape, Hugo and Williams -- as the Neptunes -- had established themselves as giants in the field of pop production, whether they were working with hardcore rappers, smooth crooners, or teen pop groups. Although their faces were known to many due to this prominence, N.E.R.D. allowed the duo to take center stage, as rock stars, even if a new alias was being used.

In this *******Pop17**** interview we see two up and coming internet stars who are just starting to break the surface of blogs online. Where do they get their inspiration? Music! One of the most popular music videos this year goes to Lil' Wayne's Lollipop. His video has 18 million views and thousands of video responses. my favorite was created by two young up and coming artists here in New York City. Kanye West and Perez Hilton wrote about Madison after the cover song released last month. *******perezhilton****/2008-08-13-totally-brillz *******www.kanyeuniversecity****/blog/?content=&date=2008_8_14 They note that the comments on blogs and youtube were really harsh, but those people were anonymous. It's time to check out who's behind your favorite webshows. *******pop17**** shows you the people who are helping to make your favorite shows possible online. See *******twitter****/pop17 and follow me please! The NYTVF helps independent producers network with media to help their shows. It seems like webshows are the new TV shows. I interviewed the people behind For your imagination, Lonely Girl 15, Kate Moder, The Resistance, Diggnation, Tekzilla, Scam School, A Lifetime webshow, and more. The great thing is that anyone can make a webshow and make money from their video reports and entertainment through ads- even on YouTube!
