Model No: 202 This project proposes automatic detection of human and Energy saving room architecture to reduce standby power consumption and to make the room easily controllable with an IR control of a home appliance. The proposed auto detection of human is done using the IR sensor to indicate the entering of the persons. Microcontroller continuously monitors the infrared receiver. When any object pass through the IR receiver then the IR rays falling on the receiver are obstructed, this obstruction is sensed by the microcontroller. This system is used to turn ON a load whenever the IR ray is blocked by an object, person etc. A 38 KHz signal is generated by 555-timer which is feed to the IR diode which in turn produces an IR ray of 38Khz.This ray is received by tuned IR receiver continuously. Whenever there is an obstacle to the IR ray the receiver sends a signal to the microcontroller which actuates a load, from its output. The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier. The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components. Model No: 204 This project is implemented in such a way that the lights glow according the music. This music operated running lights circuit uses IC’s. The music (sound) signals are sensed by a condenser microphone which is then amplified by an IC. The outputs of the IC are fed to the transistors to drive bulbs LED’s those dance as per the music played. One variable resistor is required for microphone sensitivity and another for maximum performance. The circuit works off 9V to 12V power supply. Model No: 213 This is a Precise Charge Controller for Solar Photo Voltaic Panel. The main scope of project is the photovoltaic cells while converting the sunlight in to electricity a charge controller circuit is used. Photovoltaic cells come in many sizes, but most are 10 cm by 10 cm or round and generate about half a volt (0.6 being the PN junction voltage of a silicon diode) of electricity. PV cells are bundled together in modules or panels to produce higher voltages and increased power. A 12-volt module, depending on its power output, could have 30 to 40 PV cells. As the sunlight varies in intensity the electricity so generated usually charges through the charge a set of batteries for storing the energy. Charge controllers comprising of MOSFET are used as power semiconductor switches to ensure cutoff at fully battery charged condition. Model No: 214 The operation of the circuit depends on the astable mode of the 555 timer, which is driven by the emitter current coming from BC109C/ BC548 transistor, since this transistor has high gain. Being in astable mode the IC 555 functions as an oscillator or as a free running mode. To power the 555 oscillator in full operation of the series transistor, it needs to be enabled by a larger current that flows in the collector circuit. This is made possible when the transistor is switched ON by the small current that flows between the base and emitter because of the loop/moisture or wetness sensed by the probes at contact points. On the other hand, the transistor will remain OFF and without any bias during dry conditions. To control the conduction of the circuit, a switch for ON/OFF state is supplied. The probe contacts should be made of non-reactive metal so that there will be no capacitance or impedance present. It can be achieved by salvaging silver or gold plated contacts from old relays. A cheaper alternative is wiring alternate copper wires. Since the transistor is in emitter follower mode, the impedance at the emitter or the oscillator circuit acts as the current limit so placing a base resistor is no longer required. Model No: 225 This rash driving warning system will come handy for the highway traffic police as it will not only provide a digital display in accordance with a vehicle’s speed but also sound an alarm if the vehicle exceeds the permissible speed for the highway. The system basically comprises two IR sensor pairs, which are installed oppositely on the highway. The time taken is determined by the 555 TIMERS and output is fed to the Decade Counter and displays the time on a 7-Segment Display taken by the vehicle in crossing the required distance from one pair to the other from which the speed of the vehicle can be calculated. In case the vehicle speed crosses the limits a buzzer gives beeps to indicate that the vehicle has crossed the speed limit.
