Intelligent Qube review. Classic Game Room reviews INTELLIGENT QUBE for PlayStation 1 from Sony Computer Entertainment released in 1997. This popular puzzle style game has become a rarity over the years but remains playable and highly desirable, even with its above average price tag. CGR Intelligent Qube video review features Intelligent Qube gameplay from PS1. Can you survive the Intelligent Cube in Intelligent Qube?
Final Fantasy 9 review. Classic Game Room reviews FINAL FANTASY IX for PS1 from Squaresoft released in 2000.
Final Fantasy 7 review. Classic Game Room reviews FINAL FANTASY VII for PlayStation 1 from SquareSoft released in 1997! The epic JRPG masterpiece that got Westerners addicted to the Japanese Role Playing Game genre remains an epic, beautiful masterpiece more than a decade after its release. Available as a cheap buy for PS1 or a download for your PlayStation 3, it's never too late to enjoy the saga of Final Fantasy VII. CGR Final Fantasy 7 video review has gameplay from Final Fantasy VII the demonstrates its amazing visuals, game play and music.
Classic Game Room reviews ZEITGEIST for the Japanese Playstation 1 PS1. Zeitgeist, from Taito, was released as Jupiter Strike by Acclaim in the US and UK. This 3rd person perspective SHMUP style space ship shooter has space ships, laser beams, missiles and end bosses. Sadly it suffers from terrible controls and sluggish gameplay. Released in 1995 Zeitgeist is a bargain PS1 game today for fans of space ship shooters, Jupiter Strike for the PS1 is also a bargain. This review has SHMUP space combat Zeitgeist gameplay and footage from the Japanese PS1 shooter game disc purchased as Play-Asia**** for a bargain price. CGRHD can't read Japanese so I made up my own story once again. The Zentradelghast Space Empire attacks earth and crushes the E.S.U.C.K. (Earth Strategic United Country Kommand). Only one XR3Ti space craft is left with a full tank of gas and it is up to you to save Earth from destruction! Classic Game Room reviews Japanese PS1 shooters and video games with space ships from Japan for the Playstation 1. CGRHD is an American reviewer reviewing Japanese video games like Zeitgeist, Thunder Force VI and Front Mission 5.
Watch in high definition! Classic Game Room reviews the Mad Catz 2X Memory Card for the PS1 Playstation 1 video game console! How about that? This thing is like 2 memory cards in one, with a switch! Save twice the data on one memory card for your PS1 game system for old school RPG games like Final Fantasy 7 or sports games. This thing is great for games that require a lot of space. Build quality may not be quite as high as some Sony brand memory cards, but this one has a switch that can be switched between memory card 1 and 2! Wow! Amazing! Classic Game Room reviews video game hardware and accessories like controllers, consoles and memory cards! Works with PsOne, PS2 and other Playstation 1 and 2 models.
Classic Game Room reviews the first GRAN TURISMO game released for the Playstation in 1998! This is the 1st Gran Turismo and the one that started it all, created by Polyphony Digital for the Sony PS1 back in the day. A combination of a racing simulator and arcade style driving game, Gran Turismo had car licenses from Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Aston Martin, TVR and many others. Buy cars; modify them with mufflers, computer chips and new transmissions; and drive in a variety of cool races on well designed tracks like Deep Forest, Trial Mountain, and Grand Valley. GT1 was revolutionary and exciting, fun and addictive. Although Sony and Polyphony outdid themselves on the PSone with Gran Turismo 2, GT1 remains a true classic worthy of playing once more. This Classic Game Room review of Gran Turismo has gameplay and footage from the game showing how awesome it is. As we eagerly await Gran Turismo 5 gameplay you can enjoy this original GT1 video game review. Classic Game Room reviews many driving games and loves to ask questions like is GT5 vs. Forza 2 a worthy competition? Which is better? How about Gran Tourismo 1 review and Night Driver? This Polyphony Digital masterpiece is a PSone disc worth owning.
Classic Game Room HD reviews DEFENDER (again!), this time for the Playstation 1 video game console, or PSX, PSone, PS1, etc.... This is from the Williams Greatest Arcade Hits collection which also includes arcade emulated copies of Robotron 2084, Joust, Sinistar, Bubbles and Defender 1 and 2!! Digital Eclipse was involved with this version (you should know them from the Xbox Live Arcade games on XBLA). Defender was released in 1980 in the arcades and is regarded as one of the best horizontal scrolling space ship shooters ever created. Designed by Eugene Jarvis, Defender pits you and your spaceship against countless enemy foes, landers, swarmers and pods who are kidnapping humans and turning them into mutants. If you want to play Defender but don't have an arcade stand up machine this may be the best and most affordable way to do so, as soon in this CGRHD review! Classic Game Room reviews the best in new and retro video games. If you like retro gaming reviews and old school video game reviews and reviewing then you'll love the journalistic integrity and itchy SHMUP loving trigger finger of Classic Game Room... sucka! Coin-op classic Defender review, right here!
The ORIGINAL Classic Game Room reviews DINO CRISIS in the year 2000. Blow away dinosaurs and make them even more extinct than they already are. This isn't Jurassic Park, this is mf'n DINO CRISIS! This review from 2000 is old school Game Room with Mark and Dave. Dino Crisis reviewed by the team does quite well, it has lots of blood and gore and angry, man eating dinos! This game plays out like a horror, adventure, RPG like Resident Evil, Carrier or Silent Hill. You play as a good looking woman in tight pants who has a huge arsenal of weaponry with which to annihilate an entire herd of dinosaurs! Even peaceful ones, you pretty much shoot them too. Solve mysteries, look hot in stretch pants and blow away everything that moves in Dino Crisis for the PS1. Classic Game Room shows gameplay of Dino Crisis and reviews the game in the unique style of Classic Game Room... CGR style! Are sequels of Dino Crisis coming out for Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 PS3 sometime soon? Only talking dinosaurs could know....
Classic Game Room reviews the original PlayStation 1 controller, the old grey one without the dual analog sticks! This is the controller that came with your PS1 when you bought it back in 1995, 1996 or 1997... whenever you bought an original old school PlayStation (the big, fat, ugly grey one like we had back in the day). The Sony PSone controller is legendary for its unique design, simplicity and ruggedness. Countless hours have been spent playing classic PS1 video games with it like Final Fantasy Tactics, Bushido Blade, Einhander, Final Fantasy 7 VII, Thunder Force V and the first and second Gran Turismo games. It is super light weight, easy to find and cheap as dirt today. This is a great look back at the history of video gaming from when the PS1 was brand new and crushing the market. CGRHD reviews the PlayStation controller, add it to your favorites and then run out and play a PS1 game. Does not work with Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii.
Classic Game Room season 1. January 13, 2000. The boys at CGR review VIGILANTE V8 2ND OFFENSE for the Sony Playstation PS1 video game console system. Drive a variety of cars around different environments and try to blow up your opponents. A great party game! V8 packs destruction derby action with Gran Turismo style driving and science fiction guns and weapons. This is a fun multiplayer game that came our several years ago for the PS1 and is still well liked today because of the fun gameplay, simple controls and nonstop action. Who doesn't like blowing cars, busses and trucks into bits? It even has an El Camino. Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Now Classic Game Room HD is covering the new systems. Classic Game Room is on DVD.
THE SECOND CLASSIC GAME ROOM - Classic Game Room season 1. November 7th, 1999. Pat 2 of the original first Classic Game Room episode (Part 1 was Metal Gear VR Missions), in this early review the Game Room reviews DRIVER for the Playstation 1 PS1 video game console. Released in 1999, Driver should look somewhat familiar to video gamers today, it looks a lot like the modern GTA series with it's behind the car view and total vehicular carnage. This is the first installment in the Driver series with Driver: You Are the Wheelman. And you are, you play as the race car driver in a getaway car among many other things (or are you an undercover police officer doing good deeds for society?) Unlike the later Grand Theft Auto games like GTA4, you can't bring the city of San Francisco to it's knees by slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians, but you can explore the city in this early attempt at an open ended 3rd person driving game revolving around crime and criminal activities. The Driver series has had numerous games since the first one including Driver 2: The Wheelman is Back, Driv3r (the E is a 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), Driver Vegas, Driver Parallel Lines, Driver Working Title, Driver 76 on the PSP, Driver LA Undercover and the upcoming Driver feature film. In yet another video game to movie adaptation, how will Driver the movie, release date is not set, do?? Doesn't really matter, it was put on hold. Maybe it would be better than Street Fighter, but there's NO WAY it'll be better than the first Mortal Kombat movie which was f'n awesome! Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Classic Game Room HD marked the return of the series in 2008. The original Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Now Classic Game Room HD is covering the new systems.
THE FIRST EVER CLASSIC GAME ROOM - Classic Game Room season 1. November 7th, 1999. You are Solid Snake in a virtual reality environment shooting bad guys, criminals and terrorists. This is Metal Gear VR Missions for the Sony Playstation 1. This is a landmark episode because it is the first Classic Game Room ever recorded back in November of 1999. This was originally a 2 part review with the 2nd part being Driver (which is posted on here). Now that we're all excited for MGS4 for the Playstation 3 PS3 this should be a good blast from the past with this review of Metal Gear Virtual Reality Missions showing the gameplay and strategy used in the game. So until we fire up Metal Gear Solid 4, check out Metal Gear VR Missions on PS1. By the way, we do have the NES version of Metal Gear on tap for later this year in the Classic Game Room HD series.
