Cirque du Soleil's tribute to The Beatles "A Day In The Life" and Carol Wood and Timmy Mitchum (from "Across the Universe") perform "Let It Be" at the 50th G.a..y Awards in Los Angeles, California on February 10th, 2008. The performance includes music and artists from the popular Cirque du Soleil show The Beatles "Love", which is currently running at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. For more Cirque du Soleil check out my Cirque du Soleil Primer at *******www.roysac****/cirque Cheers! Carsten aka Roy/SAC p.s. subst the three "." in G.a..y with two times the letter "m" and one time the letter "r". If you wonder why I did not spell out G.a..y, ask the folks who organize the event and have taken down every single video that just mentions them. This is my recording from TV that is shared without the intend to make any profits from it, but what they care. They obviously never heard about YouTube and social media and spend their day being paranoid that some software pirates rip their precious content and sell DVD knock-offs made in China via ebay and their millions of dollars in profit will all go down the drain. I guess the TV jerks tasted too much of their own programming.

This is a re-edit of my previous version of the video with several enhancements made, mostly the audio. Somebody told me what the name and artist of the second song is so that I was able to get rid of the stupid comments of the TV moderators during the performance. I also noticed that for a stupid reason the music of the other video was MONO. This version is Stereo now. I also added some other stuff for the looks and information. The rest of my original description also applies to the this video, so here it is once more. The video contains two of the eight parts, "The Mermaid" (La sirène) and "Midnight Dancer" (Danseur de la nuit), of Cirque du Sole The video contains two of the eight parts, "The Mermaid" (La sirène) and "Midnight Dancer" (Danseur de la nuit), of Cirque du Soleil's "Reflections in Blue", which was performed as part of the opening ceremonies for the XI. A short video by Carsten Cumbrowski about the history of the Berlin Wall that physically and spiritually separated an entire city and its people for 28 years; caused hundreds of deaths and inflicted pain in millions of Germans of two generations. This is an updated and enhanced version of my Berlin Wall video. It is over 2 minutes longer and several new video snippets were added. Some (only a few) of the still images were removed and some of the video footage was re-edited and cut. This version of the vido consists of 21 individual video and audio sources, 54 individual images and 470 words of text for caption, labels and informational messages blended in and out throughout the whole video. Background music by X-Ray Dog (a few seconds of song "The Journey" used for the intro), John F. & die Gropiuslerchen: "Berlin, Berlin (...Dein Herz Kennt Keine Mauern)" from 1987 and Die Skeptiker: "Berlin" from 1995. Carsten Cumbrowski *******www.cumbrowski****/ *******www.cumbrowski.de/ *******www.roysac****/ Fast Facts --------------------- International Press-Conference in East-Berlin on 15 June 1961 ... A journalist from the West German newspaper "Frankfurter Rundschau" asked the question, if the creation of a "Free East Berlin" means that a border will be erected at the Brandenburg Gate. ... The East German Head of State "Walter Ulbricht" responded to this question with the following... ... "I understand your question like that there are people in West Germany who wish that we mobilize the construction workers of the capital of the GDR to erect a wall, yes? I am not aware of such intention, but that the construction workers of the capital are mainly busy with the construction of homes and that the available man power is used entirely Nobody has the intention to build a wall." ... During the night of 12-13 August 1961, a barbed-wire entanglement was hastily constructed through the heart of Berlin. Just two days before the barrier was erected 1,500 refugees had moved to West Berlin. ... Watchtowers punctuated the city limits and the temporary barbed-wire constructions were soon replaced with concrete. Within a year the Wall was seven and half miles long and fences stretched the remaining 91.7 miles around the city. ... Border Guards had the order to shoot anybody who attempted to cross the border and ignored the guards order to stop. ... Over 200 people who tried it died. ... The wire fence and small brick wall segments were replaced in 1965 with a concrete wall. ... Between 1975 and 1980 the final and most sophisticated version of the concrete wall was built. It was made up of 12ft tall and 4ft wide reinforced concrete segments and the top lined with smooth pipe made of concrete to make it harder to climb. ... The wall fell on November, 9th 1989 without a single shot being fired or anybody getting injured. ... The first segments of the wall were demolished within the first few weeks. ... Within a few years only very little remains of the Wall were left and had to be preserved be declaring them a historic monument that is not to be demolished. ... The largest remaining segment of the Wall is the "East Side Gallery" near the Oberbaumbruecke along the Spree River. ... Another segment can be found north of Bernauer Strasse. The third and last segment still in existence is located at the location of the former Gestapo head quarters between "Checkpoint Charlie" and "Potsdamer Platz".

This is a remix of most Dytec Logos (ASCII, C64, Amiga and PC), PC and Amiga Cracktros and 10 of 26 Commodore 64 cracktros. It also includes the animation (the dancing Lemmings) that was planned to be used for an Amiga 500 demo that was never finished. It was planned to be used for a PC production, but that was not finished either :). So here it is... finished this time hehe. Dytec was founded 1989 by Fatman in East Berlin, before Germany was re-unified and active on the C64, Commodore Amiga and IBM PC for well over one decade. I was together with Fatman the leader of Dytec PC in 1995-96 and merged the group with Vortex and EOD (Empire of Darkness) together with Menion Leah/Vortex in 1996 to form the new super release group Dynasty. Credits for this Video ------------------------- Music by Pitty of Dytec Editing, Some of the Logo designs, concept and script by Roy/SAC and Dytec PC Cheers! found a backup of my BBS (V2) and was able to get it running (somewhat). I recorded some of the screen sessions that you can have a look at how a BBS looked and felt like during the prime of BBSing. V2 of my BBS Closed Society was not up and running very long so You will notice that it was not customized to 100% perfection yet, like most boards were after running for a couple years. Check out this page (*******www.roysac****/bbs.asp) at my site about my BBS "Closed Society" and the reasons behind V2 and the old Version 1. The modem connection sound at the beginning is unfortunatelly not exactly the original HST or V32Bis connect sound, but it gets pretty close to trigger some memories hehe. Have a nice trip back in time. Cheers! Carsten Roy/SAC *******www.roysac****/

This is the video recording of an ANSI animation by the old school ANSI artists Jed and Tracer of ACiD Productions from around 1992. I gave it an audio overhaul hehe. I wrote a blog post about the subject ANSI animation that you might want to check out to learn more about it. *******www.roysac****/blog/2008/01/ansi-animation.html Cheers! Carsten aka Roy/SAC

This is version 3.0 of my video about a trip back in time to the era when bulletin board systems ruled the earth. It's a capture of a PCBoard BBS session of my old BBS. Not 100% functional, but enough to get a nostalgic kick out of it hehe. If you are a Sysop or oldschool scener and miss the time when you dialed your local BBS (or not so local one via blue boxing or calling cards hehe) and had fun there, this video is for you. A good old dosis of PCB smell does not hurt anybody. :) To learn more about my old BBS, visit *******www.roysac****/bbs.asp Cheers! Carsten aka Roy/SAC

The yet unfinished Crazy Horse Memorial mountain carving is located less than 30 minutes from the famous Mount Rushmore Presidential Memorial where the heads of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln were carved into the mountain rock for the eternity. The Crazy Horse mountain carving dwarfs the impressive Mt.Rushmore one in size and scale. Also the time to create it is an eternity compared to the Mt.Rushmore project. The sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski started working on it on June 3, 1948 and it is still far from being finished today. In contradiction to the the better known and federal funded Mt.Rushmore project is the Crazy Horse project entirely funded by the people who donate time, resources and money and by the admission to the visitor center and North American Indian Museum, which is located at the mountain base. Story continues at my blog at *******www.roysac****/blog/2008/08/mount-rushmore-square.html

Here is another slideshow about the new Cirque du Soleil show with Criss Angel, called "Believe". I am considering my mini slideshow of my previous "Believe" video the "other" slideshow hehe. It contains new and fresh pictures that I have not used before and also some additional music from the main theme, but not exactly the same one that you could hear in the previous video, same motive though. You can download this video in AVI format at 640x480 resolution at Medifire****.
