They embark together on a journey full of intrigue, suspicion, betrayal and danger, to uncover the truth. What seems like a routine investigation ends up being an operation that will change the perspectives and ideologies of both Vikram and Aziza as it exposes the dirty secrets of a state's fight for freedom, the corrupt nexus of politicians, intelligence, militancy and the crucification of idealistic and passionate people. In such a scenario, are bullets and bombs the only solution?

Gilgit Baltistan, November 29: Nestled between lofty Himalayan Mountains Gilgit Baltistan, a resource-rich territory, now occupied illegally by Pakistan was part of undivided Jammu and Kashmir. Gilgit Baltistan has seen a separatist movement over the past few years amid human rights violations, alarmingly low literacy levels, the absence of industry, deplorable road and communication links, poor energy sources and the lack of job opportunities. The political leaders and nationalists in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan blame Pakistan for its discriminatory policies against the region. Raja Farooq Haider Khan, the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that Gilgit Baltistan is an integral part of Azad Kashmir and demanded that the people of the region should get constitutional and political rights.

Single ‘Me and Mr E’ B-Side ‘The Loner’ Exclusive artwork by Nicky Carvell Remix by System Heavy Released August 1st 2011 on Split Records “This song is blasting!” - Huw Stephens South London separatist trio Flash Fiktion release “Me and Mr E” - the anthemic third single from their self-titled debut album, due this summer. The track has already garnered heavy radio support from the BBC’s Huw Stephens and XFM’s Eddy Temple-Morris and John Kennedy. “This is the song that represents our vision entirely. Subtly epic, twisted, mysterious and glorious” says lead singer Matt Rokk. The song recounts a man with a split personality, who after visiting an otherworldly lapdancing club, watches it burn down in suspicious circumstances. “I think we all have an element of split personality in all of us, and I guess Mr E is mine. Our songs are like little stories, based on real-life events but given a kind of psychedelic twist. They’re like dreams, or nightmares, and the bizarre things that happen within them.”- Matt. Me and Mr E will also be available on a very limited run of customised tape recorders, with the song encased. “The seeds of our production and recording skills were sewn, toying on Fisher Price and Sony models,” says guitarist Ollie Thomas, “This is a nod to our musical birth”. The B sides comprise “The Loner”, tying in with the A sides’ mysterious mood, a tale of alienation set to a dark atmospheric soundtrack. Remix duties are covered by “System Heavy” – another sign of flourishing life from the immediate surrounds of the Flash Fiktion HQ. Sub bass, arpeggiator-fueled electronica pulsating through your stomach causing feelings of nausea and euphoria. Dance or Die people - you’re still Evil...... BY LEXA DECKERT He’s not crying, but it’s his party and he is upset. That is-- South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu was upset because the Dalai Lama was not allowed at his birthday. KABC explains... “Tutu made headlines earlier this week by condemning the South African government for not granting a visa to the Dalai Lama. South Africa denies it was pressured by China into refusing the visa.” Despite the denial, Archbishop Tutu compared the South African government of Jacob Zuma to the apartheid regime for its failure to stand up to China. The Guardian details... “Our government representing me, representing me, says it will not support Tibetans who are being suppressed viciously by the Chinese... This government, our government, is worse than the apartheid government... because at least you were expecting it with the apartheid government. In our government we were expecting that now we’d have a government that was sensitive to the sentiments of our constitution.” So, the Dalai Lama was forced to give his birthday wishes via Google+ -- using the hangout feature. “Respected, very very dear elder spiritual brother and beloved archbishop Tutu... I am very very eager to see you personally. Other guests noted the absence of the Dalai Lama as well. U2 frontman Bono was in attendance and points out the ridiculousness of the situation. Euronews reports... “I’m here ladies and gentlemen, because I’m obviously not radical enough to be denied a visa. I mean, it used to be rock-stars, not religious leaders that caused controversy. Ya know?” And BBC points out that this isn’t the first time the Dalai Lama has been denied entry to the country. “It was the second time in two years that the Dalai Lama's visit to South Africa has been blocked. Beijing considers the Dalai Lama to be a dangerous separatist seeking to lead Tibet in breaking away from China. But he has repeatedly stated that his goal is for greater Tibetan autonomy rather than independence.” But one blogger for Foreign Policy expects this kind of behaviour to continue. “The government's vacillation was no surprise. Over the past decade, the nation renowned for its Nobel Peace Prize laureates and freedom fighters has repeatedly demonstrated... it will abandon ideals in favor of realpolitik. This readiness to choose practicality over principles is likely to grow as the country tries to boost its economy, more and more on the back of emerging economies such as China.” Regardless of tension and a missing friend, archbishop Tutu kept up the party spirit. Al Jazeera reports... REPORTER: “But on his birthday, and in true Tutu style -- all smiles and gratitude for the Nobel Peace Prize winner.” TUTU: “You are as much apart of these celebrations in a very real, organic way.” 'Like' Newsy on Facebook for updates in your newsfeed Get more multisource video news analysis from Newsy Transcript by Newsy

BY BLAKE HANSON A U.S. drone strike could deal a major blow to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Penninsula. The strike reportedly killed six militants. Fox News has more details. “One of the dead is reportedly the son of the man you’re looking at there, that is Anwar al-Awlaki. He’s the Al-Qaeda cleric who was killed in a drone strike last month. Al-Qaeda’s media chief in Yemen was also reportedly killed in yesterday’s air strike, which occurred in the Shabwa province.” Back in June, the New York Times reported the Obama administration was upping their use of airstrikes against militants in Yemen. With the country in turmoil, CBS reports the strikes are a favored tactic. “The airstrike late Friday in the southeastern province of Shabwa points to Washington's growing use of drones to target al Qaeda militants in Yemen. … Security officials said the drone strike was one of five carried out overnight by American drones on suspected al Qaeda positions ... in Yemen's largely lawless south.” But self-described conservative blog American Thinker says these high-profile strikes could actually be a sign of the militants’ success in Yemen’s civil war. “...more worrisome - the fact that we've been successful means that AQAP leadership feels emboldened enough to show themselves in relatively exposed areas. This is a result of the continuing civil war in Yemen and a resulting breakdown in law and order that has allowed AQAP to make advances in towns and villages previously not open to them.” So will this recent drone strike have a significant impact on the war on terror? NPR talks with an expert who says -- getting rid of the leaders might not play a big role. “What I found is that certain types of organizations tend to be very resilient to having their leaders removed, so, large organizations, particularly older organizations, certain types of organizations. So religious groups and separatist groups tend to be the most resilient, with religious groups really being the most resilient.”

Mathieu Kassovitz (La Haine) makes a powerful comeback in front of and behind the camera with this violent thriller, based on true events. It’s April 1988 on the Ouvéa Island in the French colony of New Caledonia. 30 police are kidnapped by Kanak separatists and in response 300 special-forces operatives are sent in to restore order. To avoid unnecessary conflict, Philippe Legorjus (Kassovitz), the captain of an elite counter-terrorism police unit, is sent in to the heart of the rebel base to negotiate a peaceful solution. But against the highly pressured backdrop of presidential elections in France, the stakes are high and all bets are off.
