Shank 2 review. Classic Game Room reviews SHANK 2 for PlayStation 3 PS3 (also available for Xbox 360 and PC) from Klei Entertainment and EA, a downloadable side scrolling action game with comic book style art and slick controls. Shank does just what his name says, he shanks bad guys by the hundreds and mangles them with a variety of weapons like machetes, chainsaws and hand grenades. Shank 2 is a hilariously fun game with clever controls and excellent gameplay. Players will enjoy a storyline mode, survival mode (complete with some co-op multiplayer) and numerous unlockables. CGR Shank 2 video review features awesome Shank 2 gameplay from PS3, which is a downloadable game available from PlayStation Network and Xbox Live (and PC). Shank 2 is great, 2D action side scroller video game fun!

A 2009 CGR Must Buy! Classic Game Room HD reviews TOKYO BEAT DOWN for the Nintendo DS. This Tokyo Beat Down review has gameplay footage of Tokyo Beat Down side scrolling beat 'em up from Atlus for the Nintendo DS. Do you like Streets of Rage and Lethal Weapon? BUY THIS GAME. Play the Beast Cops and clean up the streets of Tokyo from a devious criminal plot! Lewis Cannon is the best video game character since Dig Dug. Sporting an early 90's mullet, cigarettes and bad attitude, this game packs laugh after laugh and has a very clever and entertaining plot. In the style of early 90's side scrolling beat em ups, Tokyo Beat Down delivers solid gameplay, hysterical one liners and memorable characters (Plot Progressing Officer!). CGR thinks this is the "What's Up, Tiger Lily" of videog games. It feels like an old school coin-op 2D side scroller but with a reworked English translation to make it hysterical. I don't think that's quite the case, but it feels like it, and it feels good. You can't go wrong with this game. Sarcasm, dry humor, intelligent writing and straight up action packed gameplay. Tokyo Beat Down is one of the best games on the Nintendo DS and an instant classic. A must have. Classic Game Room approved. Mullets, cops, pimp tunes and power up hamburgers. Love it! YOU BEAT THEM DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Classic Game Room HD reviews Nintendo DS games as a Nintendo DS reviewer reviewing Tokyo Beat Down with gameplay showing the action, graphics and gameplay.

Part 2 of 2. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of EINHANDER for the Sony Playstation 1 (which means one hander in German). Is this the best game on the PS1? For that matter, is Einhander the best side scrolling shooter SHMUP ever made? As far as shmups go, Einhander is a maniac shooting game set in a 2d horizontal scrolling distopian future with the feel of Blade Runner. It uses 3d elements and pushed the PSX to its limits with incredible graphics, gameplay, sound and replay value. Einhander is a side scroller like Gradius III IV or V, Thunder Force or Life Force. But this game is different because it uses gunpods and the mechanized arm that controls them. It's amazing and regarded by some as the best shooter ever made. It also has a light saber, homing missiles and a foxy announcer who teached you things in the training seminar. This game should be remade in 2008, 2009 or 2010 as a Playstation 3 PS3 game or something for Xbox Live Arcade.

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of the HEAVY NOVA for the Sega Genesis video game system. This game puts the 16-bit Mega Drive through a painful experience as a killer robot warrior fights through a space station in this science fiction video game. It's a side scroller scrolling action game in 2d 2-d two dimensions, two dimentional. You pilot your cyborg machine bot, which they call a heavy doll (sounds kind of like some Blade Runner outtake to me) and encounter various enemies which you must destroy. This bizarre game is not very much fun nor does it have award winning gameplay, graphics or next gen sound. It's interesting and probably will not make it to the PS3, Playstation 3, Wii or Xbox 360 Live Arcade.... that's for sure. Here's a game for the garbage dumb bargain bin.

Classic Game Room season 1 - 8/17/2000. STREETS OF RAGE for the Sega Genesis! What more needs to be said? This side scroller beat em up is one of the best video games ever made as you control numerous characters like BLAZE through 3D ghettos to whoop up on bad guys! Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.

Madagascar 3 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Madagascar 3 from Torus Games and D3 Publisher for the Nintendo 3DS. Madagascar 3 is one of those paint-by-numbers kids games based on kids movies. Switch up the characters, throw a different logo on the box and you couldn't tell the difference. It's inoffensive, it's easy and it's simple, which makes Madagascar 3 a perfect choice for young gamers who liked the movie. Madagascar 3 is a 3D platformer on the Wii. On the 3DS, it's a 2D side scroller. Normally, we go with the side scroller every time, but in this case, Derek hated it less on the Wii. That's about as much of an endorsement as I can give either version. This video review features video gameplay footage of Madagascar 3 for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Batman and Robin review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Batman and Robin from Tiger Electronics for the game****. Batman and Robin is a side scroller of the simplest variety. You move from the left to the right, and you beat up the bad guys. The gameplay is ridiculously simple and repetitive, and it moves so slowly that it actually starts grating your nerves. But in the game's defense, that's probably smart design for the game****. This video review features video gameplay footage of Batman and Robin for the game**** and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
