Classic Game Room reviews RUSH'N ATTACK for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Rush'N Attack was published by Konami for the NES in 1987 and it soared off the shelves into players' homes with its awesome silver label and stabbing gameplay. It should be called Stab'N Attack, or Shank'N Go. Rush N Attack from Konami is a clever play on words, are we fighting Russians or some mysterious force who runs mindlessly into knives? Who can be sure. One thing is for sure, this game is a classic, even if it is very overrated. Memorize'N Attack would be more like it, because you simply memorize the enemies, ladders and everything else in this game as you make your way through it armed with a knife. Couldn't they afford guns for these guys? One or two player gameplay makes Rush'N Attack a good blast from past and a fun 2D sidescrolling adventure down memory lane. Players today may get bored with the predictable enemy attacks and lack of style compared to some other Konami big hitters like Contra. This CGR review of Rush N Attack has gameplay from Rush'N Attack showing game play on the NES for Rush N Attack.

Marco and the gang are back as the carnage filled run and gun sidescrolling action continues in the fourth installment of the Metal Slug arcade shooter series. There hasn't been much changed in this sequel but it's still undeniably classic Metal Slug face melting action with all new levels, insane bosses, and plenty of mind blowingly challenging situations to take on. This CGRundertow video game review features Metal Slug 4 gameplay footage and analysis from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse for the Super Nintendo by Capcom. Disney's iconic rodent embarks on a sidescrolling adventure full of magic and fantasy as he tries to rescue his dog Pluto from the evil Emporer Pete. To spice up the usual platforming action, Mickey can also put on various costumes with new abilities, taking the role of magician, firefighter, or mountain climber. Varied gameplay and good range of difficulty make this a solid platformer with graphics and sound to match Disney's classic storybook atmosphere. This CGRundertow video game review features The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse gameplay footage and commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Metal Slug for the Neo Geo by SNK. The legendary shoot 'em up series started here in 1996 with this intense action sidescroller with a vibrant cartoony look and sense of humor. As Marco you can mow down countless enemies and mind-blowing boss vehicles with an explosive variety of weaponry. Few games in shmup history have been able to match Metal Slug's level of incredible carnage, and this new version for download on the PlayStation Network also features online cooperative play, so grab a buddy and run and gun! Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Legend of Kage originally released for arcades by Taito. Released in arcades in Japan in 1985, this sidescrolling ninja action classic gives you a sword and endless shuriken in a quest to rescue Princess Kiri from an army of evil ninjas and fire breathing monks. It's fast and frantic gameplay would live on in other ports to home computers like the MSX, Commodore 64, and also the NES, but thanks to the Taito Legends 2 compilation we can finally play the great looking and brutally challenging original Japanese version. This review features Legend of Kage gameplay footage from Taito Legends 2 on the Playstation 2 (also available on Xbox and PC) and commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Operation C for the Nintendo Game Boy by Konami. This first installment of the Contra series to hit handheld consoles in 1991 plays like a condensed version of Super C, but is still a great translation of the run and gun shoot 'em up classic to the portable realm. You control Bill Rizer in a battle against the alien hordes of Black Viper, and fans of the original sidescrolling shooter will feel right at home. This review features Operation C gameplay footage on the Super Game Boy and commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.
