Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of the arcade game Elevator Action from Taito. Developed by Taito and shipped to arcades in 1983, Elevator Action is a side-scrolling action-platformer, and it's a classic in the truest sense. You play Elevator Action as a secret agent with the codename Otto. Your mission is to infiltrate a building crawling with enemy agents and abscond with the secret documents hidden within. Controlling Otto couldn't be simpler. You can walk, shoot, duck and jump - not exactly living it up while you're going down, but fun nonetheless. This video review features video gameplay footage of the arcade game Elevator Action and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of the arcade game Jungle Hunt from Taito. Released to arcades in 1882 — I mean, 1982 — Jungle Hunt is an early platformer in the spirit of games like Donkey Kong and movies like The Birth of a Nation. You play as an affluent hunter named Sir Dudley Dashley. His lady has been kidnapped by savages, and that's when Dudley springs into action. In addition to beating Resident Evil 5 to the punch by almost 30 years, Jungle Hunt is also an old-school side-scroller comprised of four levels. Dudley has to swing across the jungle, swim through a crocodile-infested river and run up a crumbling mountain pass before finally getting to the savages, who have Penelope tied above a boiling pot of savage stew. This video review features video gameplay footage of the arcade game Jungle Hunt and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

And you do that entirely by tapping. This video review features video gameplay footage of Celebrity Bodyguard for iOS devices and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

You control the Great Guaranos in four difficult stages and will battle a variety of formidable opponents. This review features Gladiator gameplay footage and commentary from CGRundertow reviewer Kevin.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Ninja Gaiden for the NES. Released by Tecmo in 1989, this version on the Nintendo Entertainment System isn't a beat-em-up like the original arcade classic, but instead took the route of an intense side-scrolling platformer. One of the most beloved and feared games of its generation, Ninja Gaiden puts you in control of Ryu Hayabusa in a difficult battle against the villain Jaquio and his minions who strive to conquer the world. Otomedius Excellent review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Otomedius Excellent, a side-scrolling cute-'em-up developed and published in 2011 by Konami for the XBox 360. This is the kind of shoot-'em-up you play when you don't care about functioning in normal society. Any passerby would look at this game and think there's something wrong with you, and that you should stay away from their children. Which is unfortunate, because Otomedius Excellent is adorable. Take a girls' school full of color-coded combat pilots, make them ride their ships from the outside rather than inside, and get your Gradius on, just like the old days. Look on the bright side: It's still better than Strike Witches. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Otomedius Excellent for the XBox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
