Google will Unveil Own Tablet July 6, 2012 Tech News With the ongoing Google I/O developers conference this week will surely come a lot of surprises from the Internet giant, one of which is the anticipated unveiling of a tablet running on their equally new Android operating system, Jellybean. Google seem to be doing what Microsoft did last week in its unveiling of Surface tablet. “It seems Google’s trying to do what Microsoft did last week, which is basically tell their partners they no longer trust them to do things right.” The 7-inch Asus-Google tablets will be made by Quanta Computer and will reportedly run on Jellybean, the latest version of Android’s mobile OS. The first of its kind from Google, the tablet could cost up to USD 250, which should be another reason for Amazon as well as Apple to be on the alert. The Nexus 7 Google tablet will sport a 1.2 megapixel front camera, a 178 degree viewing angle, 1280×800 resolutions and 1Gb RAM with NFC capability (plus a Google Wallet feature for US customers). Its battery life could last up to 9 hours and will have the Nvidia quad-core Tegra 3 processor. There will be an 8Gb and a 16Gb version, costing around USD 200 and USD 245. Australians could buy ahead of everyone else as it will be released there in July but no dates yet in the US. Springhill Group Counselling has previously reported that Google might introduce its own voice assistant for its mobile devices, directly taking on Apple’s Siri on iPhone, and give a tech demo of its Project Glass. Google seems to be under pressure to synergize its Android operating system for tablets and smartphones that has already suffered from “fragmentation” as rival device makers compete by putting creative spins on freeware. In comparison, developers could make applications that work on all Apple devices while Android developers are burdened with the need to adapt their apps to the different instances of the OS. *******inthenews.springhillgroupcounselling****/tag/springhill-counselling/

*******forums.cnet****/7723-10152_102-581252/springhill-group-home-scams-deliberate-to-get-your-holiday/ springhill groups This can work in two ways, trough email, text message or social-media post, the gift-check scam is more popular during Christmas season where people are buying on this a lot. The scam goes like this; a message will appear from nowhere announcing you a winner of a popular retail gift card. You are then instructed to follow a link and when you click it you will be directed to a site that is a remarkable clone of the real thing. This site will ask for your personal information like your email, birth date and favorite color. This indicates that you're directed off the bogus site to a credit-card application, and because you filled-up this information sheet the fraudster has what he wants. You can also deceived by buying bogus card online from third parties. And if buying over the counter, make sure the PIN code on the back hasn't been scratched off, an indication that it's been hacked by someone in the store. This next bogus often comes via email. This one is called package-delivery scam. It appears to be from a legitimate company, the email gives the impression of being genuine complete with a phony tracking number and a note about the delivery error. There's an attachment with a made-up delivery label that you're told to take to the nearest delivery office to get the package. Open it, and you'll be subjecting your computer or smartphone to malware and virus attacks. These E-cards appears to be seemingly harmless thank you note or holiday greetings but you will never know until you click on it and it could be spyware or viruses that automatically download when opened or when they direct you to download to see the card. Best-deal-ever scams, if it is to good to be true more like it is a scam, it is a lie. The idea is they will attract you on deals and items then after sending them the money you will not get anything in return. They will say that items are limited and rare to find so they are selling it for higher prices on online auction site but afterwards you will not see the items and the sellers of course. This scam is actually new but because of the rampant use of tablets and social media accounts, Social-media mayhem as they call it, is very popular nowadays. The illicit person use social media sites just as they would emails with offers of raffles, fan-page deals and discounts that really are bait to infect your systems or lure more personal information out of you. This can come from real friends whose accounts were hacked. Always look closely at the URLs before clicking on them, or better yet, go directly to the retailer or manufacturer's site yourself. Double check always. We never tell when and where these criminals will attact but we can be aware of their bogus acts so that we can protect ourselves. Christmas is nearing and for sure crooks are just there waiting for their preys. springhill groups

United Nation’s Security Council has decided to freeze the assets of 3 North Korean companies and consequently ban them from global trade because of their involvement in exporting, procuring and financing nuclear-related weapons. UN’s sanctions committee has named the 3 blacklisted firms as Korea Heungjin Trading Company, Amroggang Development Banking Corporation and Green Pine Conglomerate. Amroggang is a financing company involved in ballistic missile sales and is related to Tanchon Commercial Bank, which was blacklisted in 2009 for its participation in selling of arms. Green Pine is the firm which took over most of the activities of the Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation, North Korea’s primary arms dealer that was blacklisted in 2009. It manufactures military maritime crafts, missile systems, torpedoes and also provides technical assistance to defense firms. Meanwhile, Korea Heungjin Trading Company was utilized to manufacture equipment with missile design applications and had been used for trading by the Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation.

China paper hints at anti-Japan sanctions BEIJING: The mouthpiece of China’s Communist Party warned on Monday that Japan’s economy could suffer for up to 20 years if Beijing chose to impose sanctions over an escalating territorial row. Anti-Japanese protests have been held across China in recent days over a dispute on a group of small islands in the East China Sea claimed by both countries but controlled by Tokyo. The row intensified last week when the Japanese government bought three of the islands, effectively nationalising them, and China responded by sending patrol ships into the waters around them.

"High-quality" preschools are often defined by educators and economists alike as ones in which teachers are adequately paid, facilities are adequate, and the ratio of staff to children is low. These are indeed important elements of quality and they are serious problems, as preschool educators are often very poorly paid, poorly educated themselves, and lack decent facilities. The low salaries received by preschool teachers leads to a high turnover rate, which also reduces quality. So ensuring universal access to high-quality preschools when many current preschoolers are already struggling with quality and funding issues will be a heavy lift. Leaving aside money issues, however, there is an important question about how preschool programs should be structured. There is lots of research showing the benefits of high-quality preschool in comparison to no preschool (as in the famous Perry Preschool and Abecedarianprograms). However, there is far less research showing different benefits of different preschool approaches. The Preschool Curriculum Effectiveness Research initiative compared a number of promising approaches to each other and to groups using standard preschool teaching methods. The results are summarized in a review on the Best Evidence Encyclopedia. By the end of kindergarten, only a few of the programs showed child outcomes superior to those achieved by other programs. Structured programs that had a very strong focus on language and emergent literacy, giving children many opportunities to use language to work together, solve challenges, and develop positive relationships with each other, had the best outcomes for children. Technology has so far played a modest role in early childhood education, but this may change as multimedia devices (such as interactive whiteboards) become more commonly used. Technology offers opportunities for teachers to enhance language development by engaging children with brief content that helps them understand how the world works. For example, children learning about health can see videos on how the body works and can be provided with video models of how to stay safe and healthy. Children can make choices and manipulate pictures and videos representing objects and processes. Further, classroom technology allows for linkages with the home, as parents increasingly have computers, DVDs, and other media available. Children can be shown exciting content in school and then take home DVDs or link electronically to specific materials that closely align with the content they learned that day. These electronic activities can be designed to be done with parents and children together, and can then inform parents about what children are learning in school. Also, in high-poverty homes children often have few if any books. Existing DVD or internet technologies can provide children with access to appropriate literature, which can be read to them by narrators or by their parents or older siblings.
