The Impossible Dream, from "Man of La Mancha"
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause
And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star
A revised version of The Impossible Dream advert were an old style 45 record clicks on a jukebox as a man exits from his caravan. He starts out on his mini motorcycle, and as he travels across the countryside he changes to travel on a Quad bike, and then into an open top sports car, next onto a travelling motorcycle, before moving onto a racing motorcycle. The man then is in a high powered sports car, followed by an old style Formulae 1 racing car that evolves into a modern day car. The man ends up in a high powered speedboat that speeds over a waterfall, however from the mist of the falls a Honda hot air balloon emerges with the man in it's basket. The difference is St Georges Cross appears in the advert as flags on the vehicles and the balloon.

The Impossible Dream from Man Of La Mancha
Brian Boitano never skated to this song and yet you might think he did thanks to a great montage!
By the latter part of the nineteenth century, the railroad was king. Railroad lines crisscrossed the North American continent, allowing for the long-distance transportation of oil, coal, lumbar, gold, and other valuables. Despite high operating costs and fierce competition, the search for better and more profitable routes was constant. David Moffat, a banker and railroad executive, dreamed of a direct route across the Rocky Mountains, a route that would allow him to tap into Colorado’s vast mineral wealth. There was, however, one major obstacle standing in his way—the 13,660-foot Continental Divide.
The Moffat Line tells the story of David Moffat and the impossible dream that led to the 1927 completion of the Moffat Tunnel. The story is also about the men who drove the trains and built and operated the railroad under incredible weather and equipment challenges—day and night. Together, Moffat’s vision and the exploits of the railroad workers combine to produce a fascinating chapter in the history of the American West.
It’s ten years since Paul Potts became the first ever winner of Britain’s Got Talent in front of a record breaking 12 million viewers, with his jaw dropping version of Nessun Dorma. Now, one of the UK’s most popular tenors celebrates the past decade with the release of his most ambitious album to date, ‘On Stage’ on 13 October (which happens to be Paul’s birthday). ‘On Stage’, Paul’s fifth studio album, is a collection of songs that have either inspired or been performed by Paul in leading roles - from Broadway to the West End - during his extraordinary career. To mark the 10-year anniversary of Paul’s first ever performance on Britain’s Got Talent, the opera superstar gives us a special performance of ‘Impossible Dream’, a song his wife’s grandfather always encouraged Paul to sing before he became famous. Now Paul Potts is the personification of that song. May we all live the Impossible Dream.
